Stamp Review Crew: Pick a Pumpkin

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2017/08/window-shopping.html
It's a bonus hop! Every now and again there is a 5th Monday in a month, and we do an extra hop. This is one of those times 😁 And since we are so close to Halloween and the US Thanksgiving, we are playing with pumpkins! Pick a Pumpkin, that is.

For those who are new to the Stamp Review Crew, here is a little background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of inspiration for that set! The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog, and you will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want! And you can click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also.

If you are following along in order, you just arrived from Charlet Mallett's blog. I am in awe of her skills!

I made a trio of Mini Treat Bags with the Coffee Break DSP and went to town with the die cuts! I also used a sentiment from Painted Harvest, and another sentiment from Count My Blessings for the notecard inside the bag. I actually cut up an entire pack of the Coffee Break DSP and made 24 Mini Treat bags with it. I am trying really hard to USE UP my current stuff, and this is a great way to use up pretty DSP.

Here is the insert with the sentiment from Count My Blessings. This is the first time I have used it, and I have been wanting to use it since I got it!

So, all those stamped and die cut pumpkins and branches are actually heat embossed with Clear and Copper embossing powder too. I know. I am crazy! But I adore how they turned out. I set up my MISTI with all of the stamps and was able to whip them all up in short order.

I used Tangerine Tango and Peekaboo Peach cardstock for the die cut pumpkins, Wild Wasabi and Old Olive for the green die cuts.

I kinda love the blue pumpkins. These are Soft Sky.

So, how do you like those pumpkins? 😎 Now, bear with me. I have to be Gramma Tanya for a minute.

I got to spend a few days with my 3 year old grandson, Cameron, this week. And we carved a pumpkin together! A puppy pumpkin, because Cameron loves puppies.

We had to take the pumpkin into the bathroom, close the door, and light the candle so he could see it all lit up.

Then, because he loves puzzles too, we had to put all the pieces back together. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜Š OK, back to our hop!

Ann Schach is our next stop, and I can't wait to see what she has created!

Gourd Goodness: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello again friends! October is in full swing, and I know I feel the need to play with leaves, pumpkins, gourds, and cozy textures. Don't you? Well, maybe if you are entering spring in the southern hemisphere, you may think not 😁This time on the Artisan Blog Hop, we are featuring some wonderful fall themed sets. I decided to use the set that seemed more challenging for me. I tend to do that, to stretch my creativity. And then I find I can't stop using whatever stamps I was not drawn to, and loving it!

For those who are new to the Artisan Design Team, here is a little background. We are a group of 20 Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the globe, handpicked by Stampin' Up! to bring you inspiration and projects with the latest and greatest supplies

If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from Sylwia Schreck's blog. And she has done some amazing things!

I have 2 cards and a treat holder for you today.

The Pine Plank embossing folder makes a wonderful textured background panel for the simple layered stamping on Crumb Cake cardstock here. And the linen thread adds another rustic touch.

Then the Burlap background stamp. LOVE it on the Sahara Sand cardstock! The leaves are stamped off for the base layer, then full strength for the detailed layer. And I fussy cut those out. I think I am getting better at that. And I don't hate it any more! Yeah me 😊 I used the Embossing Paste and the Pattern Party masks with a circle mask to create a little more texture behind the leaves.

Last up are these Wood Crates in Soft Suede and stamped with the Hardwood background stamp. The different gourds have the first layer stamped in a color, then the detailed layer stamped in Versamark ink. Then they are Clear and Gold heat embossed, sometimes with both on the the same gourd! I plan to use these as little treats on the place settings for Thanksgiving.

That's it for me! If you started at the beginning with Allison Okamitsu, then I am the last stop. If you started somewhere in the middle, keep going so you don't miss a thing!
