Spellbinders Forever Spring Eggs

Hello friends! I know it is still January, but I am feeling the urge to do some Spring crafting! And Spellbinders helped me out with the Forever Spring Eggs dies and the Scattered Flowers Background glimmer foil plate.

Watch me create all 4 of these cards in the action packed video.

This first card is a slimline card with with a very colorful theme! Die cut specialty paper for the delicate parts of the eggs, and ink blending underneath.

Salty Ocean and Wid Honey Distress Oxides here.

And Cracked Pistachio on this green egg. And a smattering of colorful gems.

This one has a vibrant ink blended rainbow created with Candied Apple, Wild Honey, and Salty Ocean,

And the delicate detailed egg dies are used to glimmer foil the background.

I even used a scrap of rainbow foil on the inside of the card!

A background of foiled Scattered Flowers with a delicate egg die cut window  bordered with foiling with the simple egg die and the Essentials Rectangles dotted border.

And a foiled and die cut sentiment for a finishing touch.

Lots of foiling on the card. You gotta watch the video for this one to see how I turn a mess up into the embossed and foiled egg!

There are alsodetails on the video of how I created the white speckled and foiled egg!

What do you think? Ready for spring yet?

Trinity Stamps Gnomes in Motion

Hello, friends! I am back with more quirky gnome projects. As soon as I saw these cherubic gnomes, I knew I had to make them Twist!

This video shows you how I made both of them. Since they are interactive cards, watching the video is probably to best way to see how they are made.

These fellas are from two different sets and a nice price point, and they also have coordinating dies. I love that they are mirror images of each other, and that they are holding different things.

There are all kinds of fun details to be explored on this card, from the stitched details....

...to the coordinating quilted stenciling. And all of the shiny embellishments!

The background here was ink blended with Distress Oxides in Tattered Rose, Crackling Campfire, and Candied Apple on white cardstock.

The gnomes were colored with Copics, and you can't tell on these photos, but there is some Clear Wink of Stella adding glam to their beards and wings.

The sentiments in each of these sets are awesome!!

Thanks for stopping, come back again soon!

Trinity Stamps Sending Smooches Release

It is officially release day at Trinity Stamps! And is a great release. The theme is Sending Smooches and is full of adorable gnomes!

Check out this video for the complete how-to for this card.  There is a video and blog hop with a drawing for two prizes. Go to this video to find the details (comments on this post don't enter you in the drawing, but comments on my video do 😁).

This gnome couple is on cloud nine with a rainbow of love!

They are colored with Copic markers with a fiery ombre for the bearded one, and a rainbow of stripes for the apron wearing gnome. I don't know about you, but I find braids very easy to color. I am a bit partial to images with braids as I wear my hair in a braid most days!

The background is ink blended to match her clothes, and the rainbow is diecut from the new Slimline All Hearts patterned paper. So fun!

Be sure to go check out the video for tips on working with the Rainbow Builder, and for a chance to enter that drawing!

Crafty Christmas Club: January 2021

It's a new year, and we are still feeling the Christmas spirit! I had to bust out the Simon Says Stamp January 2021 Card Kit as soon as it arrived, and Christmas cards were the natural result.

And today marks the beginning of a fresh new year for the Crafty Christmas Club! We are going to continue to get together on the 25th of each month to bring you some Christmas inspiration on blogs, Instagram, and YouTube. Check the bottom of this post for links to all the fun!

I am working really hard to build my YouTube channel, and to that end, I have created another video! Please check it out, and subscribe if you haven't already. The video shows all the details of how these cards were created.

I did some embossing on the shimmer cardstock and the patterned paper, which is a nice heavy cover weight, and then distressed the patterned paper with a sanding block.

The sentiment is silver heat embossed, and the snow flake is diecut from the silver metallic cardstock from the kit.

Inside, silver ombre snowflakes are stamped with a Hero Arts Vintage Ombre ink pad called Metallic Steel.

This is a second card with just a couple changes. The sentiment is heat embossed with the December Brutus Monroe embossing powder of the month called Blizzard. It is a beautiful mix of royal blue and silver.

This one has a purple theme, and I used some Purple Rain Mirror Cardstock From Tonic Studios.

Inside the purple cards, I used the border snowflake stamp with a shimmery ink called Sparkle Versamark. So pretty and subtle on white cardstock!

That is it for me, I hope my projects inspired you to get a headstart on your Christmas cards!

Trinity Stamps: January Release Sneak Peek

Hello friends! Today I get to give you a sneak peak of a set from the Sending Smooches Release at Trinity Stamps. This is such a fun release, my ideas were overflowing!

If you want to see the process and listen to me talk, here is a video.

I took two images from the Best Place To Be stamp set to create this tweet mini slimline card. It is combined with several previously released dies and a sentiment stamp set.

The scalloped layer is cut from some white pearlescent cardstock.

The next layer is cut from white cardstock and some soft yellow ink blending is applied.

Liquid Pixie Dust and gold spatters are added.

The bird and flower are colored with Copic markers and fussy cut. There are coordinating dies for this set, I just didn't have them yet when I made this card.

This "hello" is from the Slimline Envelope Builder die set, and the layers are cut from pink pearlescent cardstock and vellum, with a layer of die cut coaster blank behind it all to add dimension.

This sentiment is from the A Sentiment For (almost) Everything stamp set. Super handy sentiment set!

The inside of the card got some ink blending and another branch of flowers.

I hope this sneak peek has you excited to see what is coming in this release from Trinity Stamps!
