Stamp Review Crew: Eastern Beauty

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2017/08/window-shopping.html
Hello friends! Welcome to November. This month promises to be brisk and bright white here in northern Minnesota. We had our first snow on October 26th, and it decided to stick around 😏😑
The Stamp Review Crew is featuring a set that could be seen as a "warm weather" stamp, with it's slightly floral, ornate medallions. You guessed it, Eastern Beauty is the set we are using this time! I am definitely feeling winter and holiday today, so I will be heading that direction with my design.

For those who are new to the Stamp Review Crew, here is a little background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of inspiration for that set! The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog, and you will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want! And you can click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also.

If you are following along in order, you just arrived from Mike Funke's blog. This fella certainly knows how to think outside the box!

I made poinsettias! Don't you just love them?! I created two of them and cut one in half. That saved some time and effort. And oi! I needed to save time and effort last week! (That would be the week that just ended...I am typing this on Friday night) More on that later!

I kept the inside fairly simple, just stamping the sentiment in Early Espresso. I combined this set with the Christmas Pines stamp set, which is in the Annual Catalog. I love that set 😊

So, my week. Well, 2 weeks, but who's counting?
We went to an amusement park doing haunted houses with my brother's family, yeah! Great time! But locked our keys in our car 5 hours from home at a Taco Bell...

Had to call in to work, on a weekend, to rush to my hubby's dying grandmother's bedside (2.5 hour drive through the first snowstorm of the year.) Then had to leave my hubby there so I could return to work, and he stayed another 3 days providing hospice care to her while surrounded by all of her kids. This was Thursday Oct 26-31.

Worked 36 hours this week (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday), crafted for at least 16 hours this week.

Did a craft fair on Friday Nov 3rd.

Our #2 son gets married in our home Saturday Nov. 4th. Cooking the dinner and cleaning and decorating the house, decorating the cake....

Wake for grandma 2.5 hours away on Sunday Nov 5th. Funeral on Monday.

I was supposed to start driving to Salt Lake City for convention on Tuesday. Decided to fly on Wednesday. I still have to finish creating my Display stamper stuff before I leave. And a blog hop, and any swaps I want to make...

Now, don't you envy me?! Everyone should have so much going on! 😜 I think we all get in situations like this at times, and all we can hope is to get through them with grace, and to fulfill our obligations as best we can. And to know that we are not alone in this chaotic thing we call life.

And now, Cindy Elam!! Love her stuff as well. So very many talented stampers on these hops :)
