It's time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge, and this one is a 2 week long one, since the 4th of July falls in the middle. That gives you lots of time to play with this sketch!
This sketch #383 has a lot of options, and I took some liberties with it. My daughter called me this week and. asked me if I had any Pride cards made up and ready to go. Turns out I did not! But I do have some sets that work for this theme.
If you prefer to watch how a card is made, check it out here!
This it the first card I made with this sketch. I used a stencil to create a rainbow background of hearts, then moved on to a rainbow blended sentiment block, with sentiments from Kindred Stamps Full of Pride stamp set. Also, a rainbow colored with Copics, and a secondary sentiment on a banner, also from Full of Pride.
Here is a list of the inks I used to blend:
- Festive Berries Distress Oxide
- Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide
- Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide
- Green Apple Hero Hues Reactive Ink
- Splash Hero Hues Reactive Ink
- Thistle Hero Hues Reactive Ink
Copics:
- Red: R24, R27
- Yellow: 13, Y19
- Green: YG01, YG13
- Blue: B14, B16
- Gray: T0, T1
I wasn't completely satisfied with the way the first on came out, so I shuffled things just a bit on this one.
I think I like this one better. What. do you think?
The continuing saga of me stenciling the inside of my cards! This may become a habit! I used a sentiment from The Ink Road: Love Wins.
I used the ink left on the blender brushes to stencil onto the front. of the envelope, too. Then another sentiment from the May 2020 My Monthly Hero. Now. that I am looking at it, that MMH is perfect for Pride themed projects!
I had one of my stenciled panels get some smears on it, so I tried blending over the top. And I like it!!
This one leaved off the red banner. Not a bad version, if I do say so myself!
