I found the idea for this fun little min book from Lisa Johnson at Poppy Paperie and I just had to make one of my own. You may have noticed that I love doing 3D stuff, and small gift items and this was just right up my alley! I do need to go buy some more Velcro though :-)
On the spine I used some of that delicious Victoria crochet trim and secured it with a Glimmer Brad over the center and poked through the card stock.
Inside I alternated the images on the edge of each page. There are 12 pages in this mini book so it could be a little pocket calendar, or a passwords book, or a contacts book, or a mini scrapbook.... the possibilities are endless! This may end up going to my Earth child daughter, who LOVES mushrooms :-)
I wasn't sure about the combination of the pearls and rhinestones at first, but they have grown on me, lol! Good thing, because they are really stuck on there! I put a strip of Sticky Strip under the flap and gathered the crochet trim along the edge to dress it up a little more.
