Mambo Flowers 12x12 Page

It's about time I show you a project from this month's Stamp Club! This is the scrapbook page we made. I just love the bright fun colors for this year's Sale-A-Bration kits! I used the Ice Cream Parlor DSP and Buttons to create the accents for this project.

Here is a close-up of a few details. The flowers and leaves paper is actually stamped on Naturals Ivory paper. The big Melon Mambo flower is made using the Fun Flowers die and the Faux Suede technique (crumple and distress paper until it starts to separate into 2 layers and peel apart), sponged and Shimmer Painted. I used a couple punches for the Pink Pirouette flowers. The paper buttons use the Reverse Faux Letterpress technique and the Buttons #5 Sizzlet. Here is the sandwich for the Big Shot for this technique:
  1. Multi Purpose Pad on Tab 1
  2. Two cardstock shims
  3. Inked Texture plate
  4. Cardstock
  5. Folded sheet of copy paper (to protect the other pieces from the ink)
  6. Silicone pad
  7. Impressions pad
The journaling block was created with the biggest Fun Flower in the Faux Suede technique, sponged and shimmered. Then a 2½" circle punch stamped with the lines from Notes & Details. I also stapmed the little flower on the Pink Pirouette cardstock in coordinating ink.
  • Stamps: Notes & Details, Appple Blossoms (level 2 hostess set)
  • Paper: Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Naturals Ivory, Ice Cream Parlor DSP (SAB)
  • Ink: Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Soft Suede
  • Other: Big Shot with Fun Flowers die, Buttons #5 sizzlet, and Backgrounds 1 texturz plate,  Fancy Flower punch, 5 Petal Flower punch, 2½" Circle punch, Paper Piercer, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Stampin' Sponges, Sponge Daubers, crochet thread, Stampin' Dimensionals
And here it is!! Now I just need to put some pictures on it :)
