If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from Heidi Baks' blog where she featured Sky is the Limit, and did so quite well!
I am featuring on of the Limited Time Sale-A-Bration sets, Hello. That means that this set is only available January 5th-Feb 15th, 2016.
For my first creation, I did some heat embossing with clear and Crushed Curry embossing powder. The Crushed Curry is retired, but last I looked, it was still on the clearance rack ;) Then I washed on 3 colors of Yellow, with the darkest int he center, using my Aqua-painter. Dried it with my heat tool, sprinkled some water on it and dabbed it off to create lighter droplets. Then I stitched it to a mat of Gold Foil cardstock and adhered it to the Thick Whisper White card base. I stamped the inside real cute but forgot to take a picture. I will try to do that in the morning when there is better light :)
Next we have a card and Baker's Box combo with Cherry On Top DSP and the Botanical Gardens designer vellum stack! More embossing, this time on vellum with gold, silver, and clear embossing powders. I stamped the "birthday girl" sentiment with Early Espresso ink, then sprinkled it with clear embossing powder. Instant Early Espresso embossing! I actually have Early Espresso embossing powder that is retired, but I thought I would try to stick to current product. I tried to do the same thing with the smiley face, but I got an incomplete image. So I stamped it on some white cardstock along with the hat in Versamark and gold embossing powder, then cut the smiley out with the Circles dies and fussy cut the hat. The vellum is actually adhered under the DSP. AND this is a 5x7" card to use at work when everybody needs room to sign it :)
For the box, I adhered the strip of DSP to the Kraft paper before i die cut it so all the scoring would be on all the layers. I also stamped the birthday girl sentiment in Crumb cake all over the cardstock above the DSP. Hello is gold heat embossed again and birthday girl is stamped below it in Early Espresso.
And last but not least, here is the third set of creations I made for this hop. I made all of this between 11pm and 1:30am before the hop, lol! Nothing like procrastination to get me moving! I was thumbing through the new Going Places DSP in the Occasions Mini, and thought this would make the perfect card for a big "boy". I love using vellum to add a sentiment, and I had a little ah-ha! moment when I thought to stitch the DSP and vellum around the Square Pillow Box! I also used the new World Traveler embossing folder on the pillow box. Love that too! All of the stamping is heat embossed, hello in silver, birthday boy in gold, and the hat is stamped with Tip Top Taupe then clear embossed. I had to resist the urge to pull out my retired To & From stamp for the tag, and I just was not up to searching out a current one- that will have to wait for later.
That's all for me! If you started this hop somewhere in the middle, then you will want to hop to the first stop in the hop, the lovely Mickey Roberts where she is featuring Botanicals for You!
