It's the 20th of the month, and you know what that means. Another Crafty Friends blog hop! With a 20% off coupon code for 3 days only! This month's featured company is Gina K. Designs. She has so many awesome things, it was hard to chose!
I decided to use the Gina K/Hero Arts collaboration stamp set and some Glitz Glitter paste. This is a 5"x7" card, and you can see how well it fills the card front! Such a big, beautiful spray of blooms.
The blooms were stamped in embossing ink on watercolor paper, then heat embossed with White Satin Pearl embossing powder. The stamp was still a little dirty, so there is a gray tinge to the embossing. I still like it.
The blooms were then colored b painting with Daniel Smith watercolors. I have so far purchased 2 splits on a FaceBook group, and I love them! After painting, the blooms were fussy cut.
The stencil is a 6x6 stencil, but it is a repeating pattern, so I stretched it to fill the 5x7 panel I was working on, just carefully overlapping the first and last row while applying the Glitter paste.
A few months ago, I searched out every A7 nesting die set I could find and bought 4 of them. I have been making A7 (5x7) cards almost constantly since then, as I make them for all the birthdays at work. There is not enough room on an A2 card for everyone to sign a card!
The sentiment is stamped on a scrap of watercolor paper that is painted to match the blooms, then white heat embossed. All of the layers are popped up with coaster blanks.
I am telling you, the shimmer on this in real life is jaw dropping! If you haven't tried her Glitter paste, it really is worth a go.
Now, be sure to go use that coupon code!
That's it for me, time to head over to the next stop.
