CASEing Adriana

As soon as I saw Adriana's card, I had to make this one. I could not resist! I changed the colors and a couple other things, but this is basically a copy of her card :) Be sure to pop over to her blog and leave her some love!

I was thinking starry nights and comets, soft and dreamy. What do you think?

Yay! Flip-Flop Cards Made Easy!

Ok, so SU blew me away with one of the products that was announced at convention. The Thinlits Circle and Label Card dies! They cut and score an instant flip-flop card, and have a bunch of fun accents to go with them. Seriously, I almost wet myself. I HAD to have them as soon as they came out, which was August 1st, and they are going to be available until at least the beginning of the next annual catalog. Oh happiness!!

Here is my very first flip-flop card made with the Circle Card set of dies. I just love how easy this was to make! Yes, indeed. This is another card using Truly Grateful, which I featured in the Stampin' Addicts Fall Blog Hop, but there just wasn't any more room for this card in the hop! I am limited to 4 photos for the hop and I was already pushing the limits :) But aren't you glad I have more ideas with this set? And that they are not just about Thanksgiving :)
By the way, I left the back of the circle blank to write my note. I can write down the side too, but I wanted plenty of room :)

Check out these beauties in action, you are going to want to get yours now too!

Coffee and Friends

I have been dying to use this stamp set since I got back from convention. I saw so many amazing ideas from my friends and other swappers there. I even got a beautiful card from my friend Heidi with this set, thank you so much Heidi! And this amazing one-layer card from Adriana that she kindly gave me at a swap, I just love it too!

I got my color inspiration here

And used this sketch for the layout.

This was my first crack at it. I don't know about the lid and band on the cup though. I think the lid should have been green too. There is some of that yummy Core'dinations! So glad we have it in every color now :)

This is the second card, which is my favorite. I decided to mount the Crumb Cake on a Naturals White card base. It would look great on a Whisper White card base, arguably better on a Whisper White card base, but this is what I chose :) I like to use Naturals White to color on with a blender pen also. It holds up better, and is less expensive than water color paper.
  • Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, Perfect Blend, Distressed Dots
  • Ink: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Crisp Cantaloupe, Illuminate
  • Paper: Naturals White, Crumb Cake, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe Core'dinations
  • Other: Big Shot with Stylish Stripes embossing folder, Neutrals and Subtles and Brights Candy Dots, Blender Pen, Sanding Block, Signo white gel pen, dimensional, Early Espresso embossing powder, Embossing Buddy, Heat Gun, Paper Snip, sewing machine and thread, Distress Tool
Which one do you like better?
