Spring Jar

This is a little peek at one of the stamp sets that will be coming out on May 1st called On the Grow. I love the simple country feel of this image. I have made many a bouquet with a quart jar as a vase. There is such a simple charm to this that it is impossible not to love it!

The striped paper is from the hostess pack in Pear Pizzazz and I used Rich Razzleberry as an accent color. It really makes me wish for weather that is warm enough to go plant my flower beds and containers. This year I plan on putting in some raised beds for vegetables so that they will actually produce something! My vegetable gardens in this pure sugar sand have not had enough nutrients or water to mature... I miss those fat juicy tomatoes and crisp, cool cucumbers from the garden. Oh, and sweet corn and squash, sweet peas, green peppers, onions, beans, and carrots, rhutabegas.... OK can you tell I grew up with a HUGE garden ;) Alrighty then, back to the card, lol!

Inside I used a scrap of the DSP and stamped the floral image in Crumb Cake. Pretty simple, but there are a few layers.
  • Stamps: On the Grow
  • Paper: Naturals Ivory, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz DSP
  • Ink: Jet Black Stazon, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz, Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze, Early Espresso
  • Other: Scallop Oval punch, Large Oval punch, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Stampin Dimensionals, Pearls Basic Jewels,  Blender Pen

And you may have noticed this is a slightly different shape...well I pulled the cardstock from my scrap file and the cardbase is 4¼"x5" oops!! It's still cute though, don't you think?

And be sure to tune in next weekend for the next FABULOUS StampinAddicts Blog Hop featuring the new Summer Mini!

Natural Suede

Again, I have been missing from my blog for far too long. With spring finally starting here, there are just so many things to do that keep me away from my stamping. I know, I know. How can I let something like sunshine and fresh air get in the way of my beloved stampin fun... Let's just say winters are VERY long here :)

Nature Walk is one of those sets that has a classic appeal to it and I am so glad I got it right away. I have used it quite a bit and will continue to use it after it retires the end of this month. Yes, this little lovely will only be available until April 30th.  It works really well for men and women! I used the Designer Label punch for the tabs under the main image by changing the length of each piece.

Here is the inside of the card. Lots of room to write whatever you want. I really think that little bee is adorable!
  • Stamps: Nature Walk, Teeny Tiny Wishes
  • Paper: Soft Suede, Naturals Ivory, Crumb Cake
  • Ink: Soft Suede
  • Other: Designer Label punch, Signo white gel pen, Big Shot with Sweet Buttons embosslit, Stampin' Dimensionals

I took some scraps of the paper I had stamped the collage of images on and made some buttons with the Sweet Buttons embosslit to add to the tabs. And isn't awesome how the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes fits so perfectly on the last tab!!

So, if you don't have this set yet, go straight to my demo website and order it!! ;)

Polka Dots and Tulips

Spring is finally here!!! I can actually see the bare grass and ground and the snow is almost all melted :) Now I really wish I had gotten those tulip bulbs planted before it froze last fall...
I guess stamped tulips will have to do ;)

This fun color combo just evolved. I colored the image and went from there! And the Daffodil Delight ribbon had to come out and play since the sun was beckoning. Baja Breeze for the blue skies and some Poppy Parade to match the tulips. And I just felt like doing some polka dots because they are so darn happy :) The big dots are the center of the "O"  of LOVE from Filled with love. I saved it and I think I get more use out of that dot than any other stamp in that set, lol!

Inside I did the multicolored dots, and then just needed something more, so I stamped the top portion of the tulip basket in Early Espresso over the top of the dots. I left this blank so I can use it for whatever I want.

I may have to make a few more of this one, I can see lots of uses for it!

  • Stamps: Filled with Love, Flowers For All Seasons
  • Paper: Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
  • Ink: Baja Breeze, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Jet Black Stazon, Early Espresso
  • Other: Big Shot with Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Scallop Trim border punch, Fancy Flower punch, 1-3/4" Circle punch, Signo white gel pen, Blender Pen, Daffodil Delight 1/8" taffeta ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals

Easter Floral Cross

Easter is fast approaching! I know that my next weekend off will be very busy, and I am getting in the mood for some family time. I had to pull this set out and give it a little more love before the season passes :)

I embossed the cross in gold embossing powder, then colored the leaves and flowers with my markers. If you look closely, you will see that the flowers are yellow with the tips of the petals colored orange. The center Peach Parfait panel is dry embossed with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder. The card base is stamped with the cross and the phrase from the stamp set.  The "happy easter" is from the A Good Egg set.

Inside is matted a little differently than I normally do. I had to mix it up a little :) And I guess I am stuck on outlining stuff lately! I wonder what my next quirk will be ;)

  • Stamps: A Good Egg, Crosses of Hope
  • Paper: Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Soft Suede, Naturals White
  • Ink: Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, Soft Suede, Versamark, Pear Pizzazz
  • Other: Embossing Buddy, Gold Embossing Powder, Heat Gun, Big Shot with Elegant Bouquet embossing Folder, Dotted Ribbon border punch, Itty Bitty Shapes punch, Modern Label punch, Word Window punch, Pearls Basic Jewels, Stampin Dimensionals

Thankful Boots

So, I finally got this retired set that I have been wanting since it came out. That was back when I had more self control, lol! I was so excited about this set, I could not concentrate on any of the stuff I was supposed to be working with, so I gave in and made this card :)

This is such an awesome set for coloring! It did not take long at all and I used my blender pen ans lots of layering of color to achieve the different shades of each color.

I had to blur out the writing since I had written a note in it to be sent out that day before I remembered to take photos! I know, what was I thinking?!
  • Stamps: Scene in a Garden, Kind Thanks
  • Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz DSP from hostess pack
  • Ink: Jet Black Stazon, and too many to name!
  • Other: Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Blender Pen

I love how this one turned out :) Maybe now I can make something with the current stuff ;)
