Yeah! It is Stamp Review Crew time again, and this time we are featuring
Picture Perfect, a great layered, multi-step stamp set. It makes such stunningly realistic images, it makes you feel like a true artist. Gotta love that! There are so many pretties this year in the Annual Catalog, and in the Minis, it can be hard to pick what to get. I know, such a horrible problem, wink-wink!
For those who are new to the Stamp Review Crew, here is a little
background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators
that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a
blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of
inspiration for that set! The hops are archived at the
Stamp Review Crew blog,
and you will be able to click through each hop at any time, going
directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want! And you can click
on the banner of this post to go to the
master blog roll for this hop also.
If you are following along in order, then you have just arrived from the ever fabulous
Nikki Spencer's blog.
Now, let's get to playing with this set!
My first play with this set was stamping the rose in Blushing Bride, Sweet Sugarplum, and Rich Razzleberry on Kraft cardstock. Then I sprinkled the stamped image with Clear embossing powder and heat set it. Wow! The leaves are Pear Pizzazz. And I used the Petal Burst embossing folder for the panel behind it. I liked the look of Gold embossing powder with this one.
See how much more dimension you get with the Clear embossing powder? Love it!
And here is the rose with the same color combo on white inside the card.
Then I made a little tag. The starfish is stamped in Pool Party and Bermuda Bay, and Clear heat embossed. Then I pressed the Versamark pad onto the cardstock in the lower right corner, and Clear embossed that too. Then I dabbed some Whisper White Craft ink on with a Stampin Sponge to make it look like a wave was rolling up to it. I love how this one turned out! And the sentiment is Copper heat embossed on a scrap of Vellum, then stitched on.
And my last project has some layered Mint Macaron watercoloring, splashes of the same watery ink, and splashed then dabbed off with water. I dried with the heat tool between layers of color. Then, making sure the watercolor paper was really dry, I swiped the panel with the Embossing Buddy and stamped the leaves in Versamark, and Gold heat embossed them. The vellum strip is Gold heat embossed also. Of course, I stitched around this one too :)
Inside got some stamped off leaf layers piled in the corner.
