Cool Treats: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Woo-hoo! It's time for another Artisan Blog Hop! This time we had a few things to chose from to create with so hold on to your catalogs friends😊

If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from Sylwia Schreck's blog. Divine, right?!

For this hop, I did not choose a set to feature intentionally. I just started playing with Cool Treats, and this is what happened 😁

I had a Crafts, Wine, and Board Games night at my house last week, and this is the example card I made for everyone to re-create. I had to resist stitching around the panel, and that was soooo hard for me! Here is the How To:
  • Cut a piece of watercolor paper to 4"x5¼". Using an embossing powder jar lid side down, lightly trace circles in pencil. Use Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo ink squeezed into the lids of the inkpads and an Aqua-painter to watercolor the circles. Dry with heat tool.
  • Stamp the frozen treats in Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo over the watercolored circles, adding each layer in the same color (Peach on Peach, Flamingo on Flamingo). Stamp the treats on the inside of the Flirty Flamingo card base also. 
  • Stamp the sentiment in Archival Black on the watercolor panel and the second part inside the card base. 
  • Adhere the completed watercolor panel to the card base. All done!
 This card makes me want some fruity sherbet! Or sorbet for the lactose intolerant out there πŸ˜‰

Next up we have this adorable little clear acetate box that I decorated with the DSP and some heat embossed sentiments. I love that we can stamp the vellum in any ink, add clear embossing powder, and get colored heat embossing 😍

I cut a strip of the DSP 1-7/8"x8", scored at 1-7/8", 3-3/4", and 5-5/8", then trimmed off a bit from the end. This popped right into the assembled Clear Acetate box. Then I took a strip of vellum that was 1-7/8" wide and 6" long, score at 2" and 4", popped that in the box in the other direction, and trimmed the ends to fit. Then I used a little Fast Fuse to secure the vellum to the DSP.

One more shot so you can see the sweet Sprinkles embellishments πŸ˜‹

Then, I had to make a spinner card with this ice cream cone!

These scoops were inked once, and I just kept stamping the Watermelon Wonder part without reinking. I did reink the Soft Suede all the way across. By the way, Watermelon Wonder does not photograph well for me, so I am sorry it looks a little sickly here... πŸ˜•

Great card! Like this technique.

I was looking at Fargo on television yesterday and that plays in Bemidji. Me and my friend were talking about the fact that we did not ever hear from this city. And now I see that you live in Bemidji. That's great, so it really exists.

How many colors! The set is so dynamic and playful. It makes you want strawberries ... The embellishments to sprinkle bring so much light and finishes.
I'm hungry (here in France it is 16h42)
