Crazy Crafters Blog Hop: Guest Stamper-Me!

Wow! Kylie Bertucci, the #1 Stampin' Up! demonstrator in Australia, hosts many blog hops every month. And one of the types of blog hops she does is to choose a special guest and CAS their work. And Kylie asked me to be a special guest 😀 I am so very honored, and was thrilled to say yes! I can't wait to see which projects everyone picks, and how they use them as a jumping point for their own amazing creativity!

Heat embossed feathers on watercolor paper, sponged then spritzed with 3 inks.
I was in a watercolor mood, so I decided to use this card from 2015 for inspiration. I used Four Feathers with Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, and Smoky Slate ink.

Stampin' Up!'s Fabulous Flamingo has more than big pink birds to play with! These leaves are Clear heat embossed on watercolor paper, then an Aqua-painter is used to apply Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay, and Emerald Envy. After the panel is dry, a damp cloth is wiped over the embossing to remove extra ink.- Tanya Boser
For my new card, I used the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set with Emerald Envy, Bermuda Bay, and Pool Party ink. It was still done with emboss resist on watercolor paper. But for this one I applied the ink with an Aqua-painter instead of sponging then spritzing.

Here is the inside with some simple stamping. The sentiment is stamped in black and the leaves are stamped-off Emerald Envy.

Beautiful card Tanya! I have never used aqua painters in this way to create a fully watercoloured background and yours has come out superb - will definitely give this a go! May I ask how you do your stitching around the card edges?

I love the water colour effect for the background, it is a wonderful way to get great coverage over embossing. Gorgeous card and colour choices. Thanks for letting e know that the needles don't blunten from stitching paper! I will now be doing more of this myself. I used to have a little maching just for paper but it broke and I have never been game enough to use my good machine lol.
