Carols of Christmas: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Hello there! Glad to see you again. Or for the first time! The Artisan Design Team is doing another blog hop featuring the Carols of Christmas bundle, cuz you need more ideas for this amazing duo of products, right! 😉 Seriously, this bundle is packed with versatility! This set is in the 2017 Holiday Mini, but has been released a month early for customers. (As a perk of being a demonstrator, we could get them in July!) I know how hard it is to wait for the new stuff to come, so it is a special treat when Stampin' Up! does an early release of a bundle like this.

What is the Artisan Design Team? We are a group of 20 Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the globe, handpicked by Stampin' Up! to bring you inspiration and projects with the latest and greatest supplies.

If you are hopping along in order, then you just arrived from Germany, and the delightful Sylwia Schreck's blog. Sigh, so pretty!

Sprigs of pine really spruce up this card! Created using Carols of Christmas stamp set, Sheet Music background stamp, Cable Knit embossing folder, and Pretty Pines framelits. All from Stampin' Up!
For this hop, I am focusing on the Deck the Halls sentiment. And here I add the Sheet Music background stamp and the Cable Knit embossing folder. I snuck some pine bough die cuts from Pretty Pines famelits in too. They perfectly with this stamp set 😊

The sentiment is inked up in Lemon Lime Twist, then Old olive is sponged onto the stamp before the stamp is put to paper. This creates a nice gradient effect without a lot of work.

Stampin' Up! Sheet Music background stamp creates a subtle detail to the inside of this card.
I brought the Sheet Music to the inside also, partially stamping in stamped off Smoky Slate. I wanted it to be very subtle.

Sponge and Spritz! Creates a lovely watercolor background for Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas and Sheet Music stamps.
Next I needed to play with the Sponge and Spritz technique that I have been enjoying so much lately. Again with Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist, and the Sheet Music background stamp.

Lots of texture and pretty ornaments, truly has the spirit of Deck the Halls! Stampin' Up! Carols of Christmas stamp set is a winning set!
Last up, I stamped the ornaments on a strip of the ombre Old Olive DSP from the Color Theory stack. There are several generations of Old Olive stamping here as I did not reink the stamps as I went down the paper. The embossing folder I used is the Holly folder. The sentiment is again inked in Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive is sponged on the bottom word, then a Basic Black marker is used to ink the center word and graphics before stamping. Then the detail stamps were added in Basic Black also.

All three together! Don't they look wonderful together? I think this would make a great class for intermediate stampers.

That's it for me. Started with Allison? Then I am the last stop! Hope you found tons of great ideas you can use with this bundle, or other stamps in your stash. Didn't start with Allison? Well, keep clicking, my friend!

I think this is going to be my new favourite colour combination! The cable knit card made me want to curl up in front of the fire! But the second card is my favourite!
