Football Thank Yous

This is the last week of football and I wanted to be "on the ball" and get the coaches each a little thank you. So I CASEd Carmen's project. Thanks Carmen for reminding me to get this done! And yes, the stamps are all retired, but just because they are retired doesn't mean they are expired! I will probably keep these sets for a very long time. I still have many uses for these.

The card is a 3x3 and very simple. I did pop up the main image for more detail. Inside I just wrote a short note to each coach. I didn't even use a sentiment so I would have plenty of room to write.

The box is two of the Big Shot XL Box #2 die cuts adhered back to back. I punched one handle, then adhered the boxes (unassembled, but all stamped) together, then punched the handle in the other side. Then I assembled the boxes and used dimensionals to adhere the image to the box.
  • Stamps: Sporting, Just Football, Tiny Tags
  • Paper: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Whisper White
  • Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
  • Other: Big Shot with Box #2 die, Stampin' Dimensionals, Large Oval punch, Sticky Strip
Now to fill these with little bags of honey roasted peanuts and candy corn, and maybe a couple packets of hot cocoa and apple cider :-)

Good for you for thinking of the coaches! You didn't drop the ball -- great project with the extra treats.

These are awesome!! Too bad these stamps are retired, becuase with this great project, I bet you could have sold a couple of sets! Seriously, this is the best project I've seen with them. Love the simplicity of them and your doodled borders. And good for you for being "on the ball". I wish some of that would rub off on me!! :)

Although this set is retired, we still have a football set that would work called Touchdown. There are also baseball/softball, soccer, and basketball sets that would work for this project. They are on page 89 in the main catalog, if anyone is interested :-)
