Crafty Christmas Club: December

Merry Christmas!! Another year come and gone, and I hope you are spending today with at least one loved one. This challenging year has made us all think so much about what is really important, and has been so very serious. I think this whimsical and silly card is just what we need!

This is the last episode of the Crafty Christmas Club for 2020. I think it helped me keep up with the demand for Christmas cards. Well, if I actually got any cards sent out this year. It may be Christmas in January for those on my Christmas card list. Sorry, friends and family!

As is becoming a habit, here is a video of the process for making this card!

This is a 5x7 card, or an A7 card.  I really love this size of card.  And it worked really well with the Trinity Stamps Slimline Black and White patterned paper pack. I love that pack. Bonus feature: you can foil it with your Mink or your laminator!

Santa is stamped in an alcohol marker safe ink, then colored with Copics. And die cut with the coordinating die for the Shake Your Merry Maker stamp set.

Santa adds some extra fun to this card by being on an Action Wobbler!

I had an urge to play with Perfect Pearls, so I gold heat embossed this fun sentiment image on black cardstock, then painted it with Interference Red and Perfect Gold Perfect Pearls.

There is some extra shimmer added to the baubles in the image with some Nuvo Glitter Drops in Honey Gold.

The last bit of silly fun is the disco bauble and the sentiment from the stamp set, stamped and die cut before gluing inside the card. The bauble is silver heat embossed, then colored in with the Silver Wink of Stella.

I hope you are having a wonderful holiday!

Trinity Stamps- A Merry Box of Christmas

Merry Christmas! I hope you are more prepared for the holidays than I am 😄 But I am prepared enough to have this special Christmas card to share with you.

Here is a video showing the entire process.

I took the Slimline stamp set All Spruced Up and the coordinating dies to make all of the images for this card. The main image in that set creates a frame of pine boughs. They are stamped in Evergreen Bough and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxides, then heat embossed with a clear sparkling embossing powder.

There are poinsettia, pine cone, and berry branch images in this set also, and they definitely work perfectly with the pine boughs on this slimline box card.

The wide box card die set makes this a really easy card to construct, and I love the stitched layers for all the panels!

Combining the berry branches and pine cones really helps fill this out.

One of my favorite features in the Wide Box Card die set is the large rectangle stitched panel for the flap that does not fold down. I used it on both sides of the flap. This is a great place to write your personal message.

I did use the stitched panel to cut the pine bough layers also, so everything matches up just beautifully!

You can really see all the sparkle and shine with the embossing. And the Auburn Pearl Nuvo Crystal Drops on the poinsettia centers.

That gorgeous sentiment is the Scripty Christmas die set, and I adore it with all of the Mirror Card from Tonic Studios. This particular color is Fire Stone Red.

What do you think of the stamping on the kraft cardstock? Do you love it, hate it, or no particular feelings about it at all?

And Merry Christmas to you all!!

Festival of Christmas: Tags Galore

Playing with some Hero Arts goodies to make some fun and whimsical tags. Who even needs the gifts?!

The Festival of Christmas is back and the theme this week is tags of all kinds, easy peasy to "save it for the tree next year"!

I detail the entire process for both of these tags in the video. Go check it out, if you like this kind of thing 😀

This tag is created using the November 2020 My Monthly Hero (MMH) kit. If you already have it, great! Because it is all sold out. Sorry guys.

The background is stamped with an ombre inkpad, looks like Pool Party, Thistle, and Blue Hawaii reactive inks.
The snowman is stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black ink and coloreds with Copic markers.

The sentiment is from the kit, and the embellishments are from a couple of previous MMH kits.

The tag die is from the Hero Arts Infinity Tags die set.

This tag uses the Hero Arts Winter Tree and Animals stamps and dies.

Mr. Fox is stamped in Rusty Hinge and Crackling Campfire Distress Oxides and cut with the coordinating die.

The tree is stamped in Walnut Stain Distress Oxide ink.

The snowflakes are stamped with Delicata Golden Glitz ink.

The sentiment is stamped with embossing ink on a kraft colored lightweight cardstock, and Gold heat embossed. Then cut with the Honey Bee Stamps Sentiment Banner dies.

This tag is slightly bigger than the previous one, and is again cut with the Hero Arts Infinity Tags die set.

Trinity Stamps 12 Days of Christmas- Day 9- Shaker Tag with Felt

Hello friends! I know I have been MIA for a month, but I have big news. I was invited to be in the Trinity Stamps Video Design Team! And this is my first post for Trinity. And it is a Christmas themed series.

"Trinity is celebrating the holidays with a 12 Days of Christmas Event.  Come visit us each day from Dec. 1st - 14th (excluding Sundays) for special posts each day on our Video Chanel and our Blog.

We will give away two $75 gift certificates AND two $50 gift certificates for a total of $250 in GIVEAWAYS!  It is our way of saying Happy Holidays to you and sharing our appreciation to our wonderful customers!

Winners will be chosen using Random.com from those who comment throughout.  The more comments you leave, the better your chances to win!  They will be announced between 12/15 and 12/20 on the blog and YT channel."

I used 2 dies sets, some patterned paper, and felt mounted on sticker paper to create this shaker tag.

I love the snowy look that the shaker elements add to the tag. And how the sticker paper on the back of the felt makes them stay so crisp and easy to work with!

Autumn Flora

Not all flower building dies are created equal. The Autumn Flora line that was just released from Spellbinders is definitely a cut above the rest! Let me show you how!

Check out this video for all the good stuff!

I used 2 die sets from Spellbinders, the Foliage and Ladybugs set and the Gaillardia set. So beautifully imagined!

I added some Nuvo drops to the branches and flower centers.

And some glitter cardstock to die cut those tiny flower centers. Beautiful!

Trinity Stamps Wide Box Card with Kindred Stamps Futuristic Family

Friday was a good mail day. I got my new release order from Trinity Stamps with the new Wide Box Card die set. And my Kindred Stamps Futuristic Family limited edition box arrived! I could not wait to play with them!

I made a quick video of this card, with lots of close ups. Go check it out!

This is a messy desk picture of the beginning  of this layout. I LOVE the die that came in the Futuristic Family box. I am hoping Kindred Stamps will carry it separately. This box sold out in just a few days. So, if  you love these boxes, I recommend following Kindred Stamps on FaceBook.  They announce the boxes about a week before they go up for sale, and have a run up with samples.

There they all are, colored with Copics, fussy cut, and glued onto the "shelves".  How would like to be greeted by this?

3D cards are terrible to phototgraph, by the way! But I tried.

Here is the other end. You  are going to get the best views on the video, so be sure to check that  out.

Here it is laying flat, ready to fit into a Slimline Envelope made using the Slimline Envelope Builder die. I do love great design!

What do you think? Ready to make some pop up cards?

Ghoulish Pop Ups, in Slimline!

Happy Halloween, everybody!! Have you been having fun making spooky creations? I know, I could keep making them. And why should they have to be just for Halloween?

I have two fun cards to show you, and they are both in this video!

OK, don't shoot me, but both of these cards are featuring Limited Edition Box sets from Kindred Stamps. This is just proof that my FOMO with these boxes is justified. So there!

These characters are from the Booyah Box, which came out in October last year. This was their first inking! They are all Copic colored and fussy cut.

The slimline box/pop up card was created using dies from ScrappyTails.com . I had to get them! Then, about a week after I got the dies in tthe mail, Trinity Stamps released their Wide Box Die set. Options, peeps!

I did use the extremely popular Slimline Boos stamp set from Trinity on both of these cards. Check out that video for all the nitty gritty details!

One of the great things about this size card is the amount of real estate you get to fill with elements! I was able to get 8 people, loads of little ghosts, and 2 large creatures in here!

I snuck some older Spellbinders Small Die of the Month stuff in here also :)

So, if you keep your elements within the confines of the box, then this will fit in a slimline envelope that will fit a 4"x9" card. I was a bit exuberant with my elements, so I ended up using my Envelope Punch Board (still one of the work horses of my craft room) to create a 6"x9.5" envelope.

The Wide Box die from Trinity (which I now own also-it arrived last night!) will fit in the Slimline envelope that you can create with the Trinity Stamp Slimline Envelope die set! I love the finished look you get with that die set.

This one features the Teen Detective set, Peace and Love set (van), and more elements from that Spellbinders Small Die of the Month kit. I knew I had a die set with the perfect ghosts for these cards, but I did not find it until I had already assembled the Booyah card. But this card got to benefit from that find!

I used some thin strips of acetate to get the bats flying in the air. It is amazing how well that works!

I did use Pearlescent cardstock for the ghosts and all of the black die cuts. It is such a great weight, adn looks amazing!

Do you see the black cat in there? I love that there are things to "find" in this style of card!

One last close up, including the sentiment from Slimline Boos. These were so much fun to create! I love a good interactive card.

I hope to have some projects using some ideas I have with the Trinity Wide Box die set soon!

Until next time, have a Spooky and Thrill Filled Night!! Did you know there is a Blue Moon tonight! 😮
