Light Up Card With a Deep Sea Fish

Let's play with the Pearblossom Press lights to create a fun fish card!

Watch the video for a full tutorial.

There are many techniques including ink blending, alcohol marker coloring, die cutting, and light up mechanisms at work here.

Add some repetitive stamping and a sentiment and this card is done!

Spellbinders August 2022 10 Cards with Kits plus 2 Bonus Cards

The Spellbinders August 2022 kits are out, and they are fabulous! Here are the projects I created mainly with the Card Kit of the Month, Butterfly Sparkles. Most of the other August kits got to play along!

This is the video of the 10 cards if you would like to watch the process.

Card #1 features the Embossing Folder of the Month and the Peach Opalescent Sequins in addition to the Card Kit ephemera and  patterned paper.

The inside uses a sentiment stamp from the card  kit and some  ephemera butterflies.

Card #2, butterfly-cat on the moon! Using an older Essentials Circle Glimmer and circle dies.

Inside Card #2 all  from the card kit stamp set.

The APG of the Month provides  the lovely layered flowers.

Inside Card #3,  that card kit stamp set just keeps giving!

Card #4 pulls in the card kit dies with that beautiful frame,  the Embossing Folder of the Month is an anchor for the ephemera grouping. Pink Opalescent Sequins add some sparkle to the card.

Inside Card #4,  more goodness from the card kit stamp set.

Card #5 is super simple,  just patterned paper, layering, ephemera, and that beautiful layered  butterfly sticker from the kit. At time of this posting, you can actually get the pack of butterfly stickers by themselves!

Inside Card #5, ephemera and stamps from the kit.

Card #6 Love the way the frame die works with this ephemera phrase so well!

Inside Card #6

Card #7  is a 5x7 card, and you can see that t he Embossing folder of  the Month gets a whole lot more real estate!

Inside Card #7

Card #8 adds the Die of the Month with the Embossing Folder of the Month (EOM). And I use Golden Flamingo Opal Polish for the first time on the Fluted Classic Oval embossed with the Interwoven Lattice EOM.

Inside Card #8, turns out you can stamp with the Opal Polish too!

Card #9 has an adorable cat and stars. And the frame die in black on black. Love this!

Inside Card #9, ephemera and kit stamps!

Card #10 adds the Clear Stamp and Die of the Month, highlights the EOM with the Golden Flamingo Opal Polish, uses the Duo Lines Circle Glimmer plates, and  chipboard stickers from the card kit.

I love all the things about this card! The owl and sentiment are chipboard stickers from the card kit.

Inside Card #10  has more flowers from the Clear Stamp and Die kit.

Bonus Card #1 uses all the dies in the card kit. The sentiment is from the stamp set in the card kit.

Inside, the rest of the dies from the card kit.

Bonus Card #2 has another EOM/Opal Polish background on black cardstock. I think this is just gorgeous and could not resist another card using it.

This grouping of ephemera goes very well with this puffy glitter sticker sentiment.

Inside Bonus Card #2 the Glimmer of the Month gets some play with the sentiment over the ephemera watering can.

The only kit I didn't use yet is the Large Die of the Month!

I hope you enjoyed these projects! Leave me some love in a comment below.

=Spellbinders July 2022 Kits of the Month Blog Hop

Hello, again! July is here, and it is full and summer fun. Spellbinders really hit it out of the park this month with all of the fabulous kits. I had a hard time choosing what to use for this blog hop!

You may have just arrived from Rebecca Keppel's blog, isn't  she amazing?!

I did finally settle on the Clear Stamp/Die kit and the Embossing Folder of the month. For those that like a video, check it out here!

You can see that I did a rainbow ink blending here. This card uses Distress Oxides in Saltwater Taffy, Squeezed Lemonade, and Salvaged Patina. The cardstock was spritzed with some Pearlized Water and left damp when it was embossed with the embossing folder, to accentuate the embossing.

And a NEW RELEASE product snuck in here too, the Essentials Diamonds nesting dies! They match the shape of the diamonds in the design of the embossing folders perfectly!

These popsicles were stamped with Distress Oxides also. I used so  many colors!!

This version of the design uses Distress Inks on the background in the same colors. They are definitely more vibrant.

I think that red berry and orange popsicle might be my favorite! The Aura sequins really zhuzh up this card.

And you gotta love all the sentiments in this set! Especially that almost every one has a coordinating die!
