Spellbinders 20th Birthday Celebration!

Spellbinders is celebrating their 20th birthday this month! Let's celebrate that amazing landmark with them. The release this month features a TON of fun birthday stuff, and a lot of other cool stuff. But we are going to focus on the Birthday Celebration Collection today.

I used the same 4 products on both of these cards, 3 of which are from the Birthday Celebrations Collection.

If you want to see how I made these cards, including how I made the pop up inside the larger card, watch this video!

I love the variety of circle sizes and the slightly wonky shapes of the circles in the embossing folder. And my absolute favorite thing about Spellbinders embossing folders is that they will emboss a 5.5"x8.5" piece of cardstock. That makes it work for even my biggest cards! And this is a 5x7 card.

Sometimes I struggle with foilign on colored cardstock, but when I use Spellbinders colored cardstock, it is no longer a struggle. Thankfully, I have quite a pile of it that I have collected from my Card Kits. There are 2 dies in this foil plate set, and I used them both!

And inside this card we have a flight of balloons that pop up! I used a really simple technique to make anything a pop up from Jennifer Mcguire. I show you haw to do it in my video!

You can see the pop up very well in real life, but in photos this angle shows it a little better. And you can see that I adheres a couple of balloons and clouds directly to the card base to increase the feeling of dimension.

For this mini slimline card, I wanted to use the other "Happy Birthday" from the glimmer hot foiling set, the leftover balloon, and use the embossing folder in a different way.

The background is ink blended and then embossed, and I added some mirror card balloons. I used the strings this time, too! The gems are the same ones I used on the previous card.

I hope you got some inspiration from these projects! I sure enjoyed playing with these products and making these cards. Leave me a comment below and tell me what you are most excited about!

Spellbinders will have a link up party for all of the design team projects on July 17th on their blog, find that here:

If you are interested in the supplies I used, I have provided links below.

Some of the supplies listed below are affiliate links, some are not. If you use an affiliate link here to make a purchase, I may get a small compensation. I only use things that I love.

I am playing with the Little Layered Ice Cream Cone stencil and dies. I also slipped in the Modern Embossed Alphabet. Seriously, these are so yummy, I want to go to our local ice cream shop for some cool summer treats!

If you want to see how I made these cards, check out this video!

This card wanted to be a shaker, so I let it! The Soiree Sprinkles are perfect for this full panel shaker card.
This card could be for any occasion, even more so with the endless possible sentiments with the Modern embossed Alphabet dies.

I used the fall out letters from the Little Layered Ice Cream Cone die set on the inside of the card.

Here we have a sweet little 4 Bar card. I have to admit, I love mixing it up with card sizes. Each size has it's perks.

I used both the stencil and the dies for this card.

The "sweet" is cut from some mirror cardstock, and the gems are from the Summer Sparkles that are now back in the shop!

Last up, we have a sweet mini slimlinel The Woven coverplate die is a gorgeous backdrop for this birthday treat.

I used the stencil on the scoops of ice cream, and added some of the Crystal Sunset gems. Swoon! Those gems are stunning!

Here is the list of blog participants, go check them out!

June 2022 Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month 10 Cards 1 Kit

Hello Friends! It  has been a while since I posted on my blog, and I thought maybe it would be nice to  start  posting still shots of the projects I make  in my videos. So, here is one of those posts!

First, here is the video. In case you started here and not on YouTube. And now, the cards!

This card uses the dies in this month's kit. ALL of the dies. And the sequins. And some of the ephemera. And the patterned paper!

Confession: these are not in the same order as in the video. Sorry! This card pulls in the Embossing Folder of the Month. The stamp set in the kit. And features some ink blending with Distress Oxides.

That lovely gold lacy die cut is from the Small Die of the Month kit from June 2022, and is so pretty using the gold mirror cardstock from the kit!

More ink blending, and some dies from the Large Die of the Month. Ephemera from the kit. The embossing folder is not a monthly kit item, but is a new release from a couple months ago called This Plus This.

Rainbows and sunshine!! You are going to LOVE the stamp set in this month's card kit!

And the kitty is coming to the party! Everything but the Fluted Classic Rectangle die is from the card kit.

Can we just talk about the variety in shape, color, and age of these ladies?! Gah!! I love this so much!!

And that rainbow/strawberry/ice cream cone!! I think that is my favorite image in the whole kit.

This was really fun  and easy to pull together using patterned paper and a past Embossing Folder of the  Month.

The  last card, and is is a favorite. I love the way the die cut elements frame the cake and make it look extra fancy.

Well, that's all of the cards. I hope you liked this closeup look at my projects! If you are interested in  any of the products I used,  just scroll down a  little further to find a supply lists with links. Until next time, buh-bye!
