Cool Christmas

And the swaps keep coming! I'm telling you, I went a little crazy, and it is going to take a while to get them all posted :) And Christmas is now 5 short months away.  This is a super easy card to mass produce and is quite mailable.

Snowflakes would look good too, but I really like the elegant and vintage feel to this one. That is Pool Party ink and Coastal Cabana ribbon. They look good together, I think :)
  • Stamps: Lovely Romance, Greetings of the Season
  • Ink: Whisper White, Pool Party
  • Paper: Whisper White, Crumb Cake
  • Other: Signo white gel pen, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Paper Piercer and Mat, Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Coastal Cabana Stretch Ruffle ribbon, Dimensionals
That has to be one of the shortest "other" sections I have done is a while! I guess a girl collects a few tools over the years ;)

Hello Sugar!

Mmmm, Baked Brown Sugar! Doesn't that just make you want to go bake something? Or eat something baked! Well, that is the name of another of the soon-to-be-released new In-Colors. I got the paper and ink in my box of preorder goodies last week and thought I would make a card showing how this new color fits in with a couple of the old colors.

I made 3 cards the day I got my box of goodies, and this was the first one. I used a new stamp set, embossing folder, and punch on it too. You are all going to love the new catty. I know I do. (I'll tell you a secret. I have been sleeping with mine. Well, it is on the headboard when I am sleeping, but I take it to bed with me and dream of new inspiration!)
This card uses a little of the Ombre technique, starting at the top with Soft Suede, then to Baked Brown Sugar, then into Crumb Cake, all stamped on the Crumb Cake. I just quickly eye-balled the stamp placement inside the mosaic embossing, some a little better placed than others. LOVE clear mount stamps especially for this kind of thing!
  • Stamps: Friendship Preserves, Mosaic Madness
  • Ink: Soft Suede, Baked Brown Sugar, Crumb Cake
  • Paper: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White
  • Other: Big Shot with Modern Mosaic embossing folder and Window Frames framelits, Mosaic punch, Festive Paper Piercing Pack, Paper Piercer and Mat, Signo white gel pen, Natural Trim ribbon, dimensionals
What do you think? Will you catch the "madness"?

Vintage in Pink

Going for a vintage feel with this card, and I did lots of sewing on it to. I really like to sew on my cards, it adds such a lovely texture and feel to them.

Does anybody else have a hard time mixing prints? I never am quite confident with it, but I am working on it. Don't you love how the Ferris Wheel nestles into the design of the DSP?
  • Stamps: Feeling Sentimental, Oh Hello
  • Ink: Crumb Cake, Primrose Petals
  • Paper: Naturals Ivory, Very Vanilla, Primrose Petals Core'dinations, Print Poerty DSP pack
  • Other: Primrose Petals Stitched Satin ribbon, Victoria Crochet Trim, 1¼" Square punch, sewing machine and thread, sanding block
I think I should have gone with a darker ink for the Ferris Wheel, maybe next time.
