Crafty Festival of Christmas: Last Minute Lucy- Anything Goes!

OK, this post got a little ahead of it's self, going live before I even had it finished! Really, it should have been more patient!! I mean, honestly! The theme this week is Last Minute Lucy. You know I was creating the content this morning.

This is the last post of the 2019 Festival of Christmas, and this time we are going to share a bunch of our last minute projects. I know I always end up making more cards, gifts, and tags.

For my projects, I am focusing on those last minute Christmas cards. I like to keep them fairly simple, but still lovely. The Concord and 9th Turnabouts are so helpful for that! This is the Snowflakes turnabout, with three colors of embossing powder!

The iridescent one is from the Brutus Monroe monthly embossing powder club and it is called Frost Bite. I love it!! I also used Alabaster and White Satin Pearl.  The White Sating Pearl over Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink made a lovely new color, too.

The sentiment was tamoed with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink also, and is from Very Merry Sentiments.

This was all stamped with Distress Oxides using the Holly Berry turnabout and the same Very Merry Sentiments set.

I used 4 different colors for the berries even. And some Copper embossing on vellum.

This last card uses up the last of my stash of Mellow Moss cardstock, which retired. from Stampin Up several years ago. The Pinecone Background from Simon Says Stamps was something I just had to have, since I adore pinecones and pine trees.

My cardstock was a bit faded and splotchy, so I took some Forest Moss Distress Oxide ink and sponged over the cardstock. I also spritzed it with Pearlized water before embossing the Pinecone background with gold embossing powder.

The Very Merry Sentiments set came to the rescue again, on the front of the card and inside.

There they are, my last minute cards! Now I need to get a few into the mail, and go make the calendar with everyone's birthdays on it that my mother-in-law requested!

The next stop is the lovely Linda van Wely!

Crafty Festival of Christmas: Treat Containers, Gifts, and Ornaments

Hey friends!! Happy Friday the 13th with a full moon! (says the exhausted ER nurse who ran out of time to create something shiny and new for this episode!) We are back with more holiday fun. The theme this week is Treats, Gifts, and Ornaments.

The team came up with some amazing stuff this week!

A couple of years ago, I stumbled onto the sweetest little treat package, and I made a ton of them. This is one of them. I took cardstock and embossed it with an embossing folder before I. did the scoring and assembly.

I even made a video back in the day showing how to make them!

This one used some patterned paper. You can use all kinds of themes, and put all kinds of things in these little purses.

A frosty stamped patterned paper with a couple of sweet little mitten tags. I have out everything from chapstick to chocolate in these!

I even added a little inclusion card that you can write a message on!

That's all I have this time, head on over to Linda's blog for the next idea!

Crafty Festival of Christmas: Gift Card Holders and Tags

Welcome friends! The holiday season is really starting to heat up, and I know that  you could use some crafty inspiration for all of those gifts you are packaging about now.

Well, The Festival of Christmas friends are here to fill that need! What a great looking group this is! The theme this week is Gift Card Holders and Tags. And I may have made a few projects this week.

My first project uses products on of my absolute favorite  dies, which I have had for years. It is from Papertrey Ink. My Favorite Things makes one, too. They make for really quick tags!

This patterned paper is from some paper pads from Michael's. I got them on a really good sale. And now I have enough patterned paper for 2 lifetimes.

I love that sentiment! It is from a My Favorite Things Sassy Pants stamp set.

To add even more value to this tag, I used a Lawn Fawn die to create a gift card pocket on the back.

The same paper pad is used on this gift card holder that is made with a Spellbinders Large Die of the Month set from April  2019. It is even still available! I have made at least 50 of these to sell, and to use myself.

There is a die in that set that creates the tabs to hold a gift card. I use that particular die all the time to add gift cards to anything I want.

Last up is a giftcard holder made with the Honey Bee Coffee Cup dies, and that Spellbinders giftcard tabs die.

I had to glam it up with some Glitz Glitter Gel over a cardstock that I had painted with White Glimmer ink. I used the Graphic Deco stencil to apply the Glitter Gel.

The sentiment is from the Hero Arts November 2019 My Monthly Hero kit.

Another sentiment from that Hero Arts November 2019 My Monthly Hero kit. I messed it up the first time, so I stamped it again, die cut it with a stitched rectangle, then glued over the mess up.

There is that Spellbinders die hard at work inside the card.

And here is a tip from my craft room. I take some of my scraps and cut them out with various tag dies and keep them handy for tags I need to  whip up on short notice.

Now it is time to go see what the ever lovely Charlet has created!!
