Pineapples!!

Sometimes I just want to play with all the "somethings" in my craft room. This weekend, I felt like playing with pineapples. And holy cow, there are a lot of pineapples up in here!! This is a long post, but hopefully worth it.

Look at that pile of pineapple cards! Can you believe it? I will link below to all of the supplies that are current at this time.

Let's start with this one. The focal image is from the July 2017 Spellbinders Kit of the Month (still available), and the dies are from the July 2017 Die of the Month kit. That embossing folder, love. Just love.

Look at that pineapple-like texture!! Some Pale Gold Nuvo Drops too.

The background here is an Altenew stencil with Lemon Drop Hero Hues ink. The pineapple is a retired Stampin Up background stamp with Distress Oxides and a watercolor technique.

The sentiments are from the March 2018 My Monthly Hero (still available) with their coordinating dies. Some Brass heat embossing. Then I used some Perfect Bronze Perfect Pearls to spatter on the background.

And stamped the pineapple inside too.

Smooshing and the same monstera leaves. Same colors. Banner from Concord and 9th, sentiment and word die from the retired Sweet Cupcake stamp set from Stampin Up.

I used that embossing folder again too.

This pineapple stamp is from the retired Pop of Paradise set from Stampin Up.

Concord and 9th Pop Art Pineapple set. Papel Picado cover die from Hero Arts.

Is that little flower not perfect?!

Inside the card.

Similar card, same stamp set.

Close up of my not quite perfect stamping.

Last card! This pineapple is from the June 2019 My Monthly Hero, which has its own die! I used the Daniel Smith watercolor card in th kit to color these also.

I used two cover plate dies for this card. The Papel Picado from Hero Arts and Bold Borders: Diagonal Stripes from Papertrey Ink.

This sentiment is from the CZ Designs set Hello You.

Phew! We made it! What do you think? Are you ready to go shopping in your stash? Or in the links below!

#tanyasblends: Unicorn Mist

Hey friends! I am back with another #tanyablends creation! This is actually the first blend that I shared on Instagram, but the second card I made with the blends I made that day.

Here it is! Don't you love it?! Here are the colors, if you don't read upside down. You know, I thought everyone could do that! Turns out, not so much. Just more proof that I am weird 😉
  • Milled Lavender
  • Victorian Velvet
  • Seedless Preserves

This is a video I made of this card from start to finish. CHeck it out for all the nitty gritty details.

This is a fairly limited supply card. I only used one stamp set, believe it or not!

I used coasters for all of the dimension. I am trying to convert more of you to the Earth friendly and superior performance alternative to foam tape and Fun Foam!

I used some pretty crystals form Studio Katia to cover up my clumsy fingerprints.

I even stamped with Oxides on the inside. So awesome!!

Don't forget to use the #tanyasblends tag when sharing on social media so we can all see what you make.

#tanyablends: Soft Sunrise with Ink Road Coffee

A few days ago, I had just finished working five 12+ hour shifts in a row, and was feeling the need for a creative refreshment, but had no real ideas on what to create.

Thankfully, there was a box sitting next to me with shipments from Scrapbook.com and Amazon with 48 Distress Oxide pads and reinkers that I needed to complete my collection. So, I decided to do some ink blending as it does not require much thought for me. I love playing with color, and sometimes, that is the most relaxing and joyful thing in the world for me.

I ended up creating a stack of blended panels, and used every single color at least once! And I will be sharing them with all of you, one at a time. I also hope to create a card with each of these panels to share at the same time.

This blend reminds me of a soft sunrise, and I love it! These were all blended onto #80 white cardstock using blending sponges, then spattered with water. Here are the colors I used:
  • Tattered Rose
  • Tea Dye
  • Rusty Hinge

And here is what I made with that panel! I decided to use another item that arrived while I was working: Mug Life from The Ink Road. I love me a snarky stamp set!

I also used a coverplate die from the July 2018 My Monthly Hero kit to cut the rays into the panel. It is spattered with some Copper Perfect Pearls, and dotted with Morning Dew Nuvo Crystal Drops.

The cups are colored with Copics and fussy cut. The sentiment in Copper heat embossed on a label die cut with a die from the July 2018 Spellbinders Kit of the Month.
  • Yellow cup:Y15, YR15, YR18, W0, W1
  • Red cup: R05, R24, R29, E50, E53, W0, W1
  • Orange cup: YR61, YR65, YR68

Inside gets some love too! I blended the same colors inside with the Tim Holtz Rays stencil, then stamped the sentiment with the Hero Arts Vintage Ombre Metallic Rust ink pad.

I totally played with all kinds of things, new and old, from my craft room here, and that is why we build our stashes 😉

What will you do with this blend? Be sure to use the #tanyasblends tag when you post to social media so we can all see what you create!

Stamp Review Crew: Daisy Delight

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2019/06/dd.html
Hello friends! We are back with more fun with stamps, and this time we are using Daisy Delight. This set was a hit a couple years ago when it first came out, and is still a popular set. There is a new set coming that coordinates with it in the new Annual Catalog, called Daisy Lane.

Hopefully, we are going to show you a bunch of new ways to use this set today.

If you are following along in order, you just arrived from the lovely Cindy Elam's blog. Such a charming card, right?!

I was feeling purple today, and took a panel I had been practicing the smoosh technique on as the starting point for this card. I used the new Hero Hues Reactive ink in Thistle for the smooshing, but it is a very close match to Highland Heather. Which is what this image reminds me of here! Can't you just smell it in the wind?

I used Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather for the purple stamping, and Pear Pizzazz for the green.

Stitched Rectangles dies and actual stitching on the layers, and the Subtle embossing folder all played a part in this card.

Inside got more of the same stamping.

I hope this made you look at this stamp set in a new way, and provides some inspiration.

Let's go see what Dawn Tidd has in store for us!
