Oh So Succulent: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome to another Artisan Design Team blog hop! We are a group of demonstrators chosen by Stampin' Up! from around the globe to create projects and inspire you. And hopefully we are doing or job well 😁

This time we are using the Oh So Succulent stamp set from the Occasions Mini. It is not going to be in the new Annual Catalog, so if you want it, get it now!

If you are following along in order, then you just arrived from Germany and Sylwia Schreck's blog. So beautiful, right?!

This stamp set has been used for so many gorgeous flowers and succulents, it was a little hard to come up with something somewhat original. One day it came to me that the images could be used to create bubbles and an underwater scene. So that is what I did with this ensemble of projects.

  • I used some embossed resist here with the bubbly image embossed in Clear embossing powder.
  • After embossing, I taped the watercolor panel to a board and sponged an ombre effect starting with Bermuda bay at the bottom, Pool Party in the middle, and Soft Sky at the top.
  • Next I spritzed the panel with water just enough to make the ink start to blend, then dried with the heat tool.
  • I stamped some of the succulent images in Pool party along the bottom of the panel.
  • The sentiment in stamped in Archival Black on vellum, then the strip is trimmed off and dovetailed.
  • Stitch around the panel, attaching the sentiment strip to the panel with the stitching.
  • More succulents were stamped in Bermuda Bay on Bermuda Bay, then die cut and adhered to the panel with diemnsionals.
  • Add a few Rhinetones.
  • Adhere panel to a Soft Sky cardbase
  • Stamp the succulent images in Soft Sky and the sentiment in Archival Black on the inside panel. All done!
I made this a Mother's Day card. Mother's Day in the US is fast approaching, by the way. Are you ready?

How about a closer look at this one?

The bag topper here is sponged and stamped with Soft Sky, and more of the same embellishing as the card.

This sweet little box/basket just requires trimming off some of the flaps on one of the two pieces cut out. And the stamping is similar to the bag topper.

I hope you enjoyed this set of projects! And if you started somewhere in the middle of this hop, be sure to click on to Allison Okamitsu's blog! There will be loads more ideas to see. 😀

Artisan Display Stamper Blog Hop: Day 7

Day 7, and still going strong are we? I think so! Are you all convinced yet that you need all of the products that we have used so far? Good! 😈

I have another technique card for you today. This is the Swiped Stamping technique, and it gives that stamps a streaky impression. Kinda looks woodgrain-ish!

And I thought you might like another video showing you how to do this technique. And how to make this card 😊

How about a little close up?

That's it for me! I am the last stop on the hop, unless you started somewhere in the middle. In that case, keep going my friend. There is so much more to see!

Artisan Display Stamper Blog Hop: Day 6

Wow, day 6 already! I hope you are enjoying this hop. It is officially half over! Just 5 days left, including today 😁

If started at the beginning, or anywhere in the middle, then you came from the wonderful Shannon Lane's blog!

I have two projects for you today, but they are brothers, lol. So does that really count as two? 😉

Here is a sweet little whale, and I stamped him using what I call the Sponged Stamping technique. I used Sahara Sand and Dapper Denim on him. This is a little 3x3" card, perfect for popping in a lunch, using as a tag on a gift bag, or slipping into a pillow.

This octopus is stamped in Sahara Sand and Fresh Fig. Isn't he adorable?!

I made a quick video for these cards too. What do you think of my videos? Like them? Hate them? Don't even watch them? I would love to hear from you 😊

Now, I am the last stop on the hop, but only if you started with Aurelie! If you have not been to France with Aurelie, then you better keep clicking 😊

Artisan Display Stamper Blog Hop: Day 5

Happy Easter everybody! I will be seeing most of my kids, grilling pork chops and asparagus/radishes/green beans, and having a lovely kale salad. Doesn't that sound like a lovely springtime feast?! And the kids will have an egg hunt outside. Which means that I should be filling little plastic eggs right now instead of typing up a blog post!  😅

OK, if you are following along in order, then you have just arrived from Shannon's blog. She is soo talented!! You know, it is a little intimidating being the last stop on the hop all the time. By the time you get to me, will I have anything new for you? Well, let's check it out and see, shall we?

How about a pocket page! This is my busy little grandson. And I took these pictures in September while he and his parents were moving into their new home.
I used the Fresh Fig cardstock, Foil Frenzy specialty DSP, and the Tabs for Everything stamp set with Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide ink, and the new Circle Tab punch. The brown is Soft Suede ink and Crumb Cake cardstock.

In case you wanted to see the journaling, here is a close up.

Of course, I had to stitch on the cards too. It wouldn't be me without the stitching. And I love that smiling face! He was having soooo much fun playing in the leaves 😀

If you started somewhere in the middle, then you want to be sure keep going and see what the delightful Aurelie in France has come up with!!
