Celebrating Sara Blog Hop: You've Got This

Hello friends! How is your December going? Quickly, you say?! Well, I do believe that! I have a very large extended family, and the gatherings just keep coming. They are fun though!

Today, we are celebrating the CEO and daughter of the founder of Stampin' Up! Sara Douglass! As a member of the 2017 Artisan Design Team, I was invited to make a special card for Sara that would be displayed in the Legacy Room in the home office. Several of us did, and we are sharing them with you today. And if you get a chance to tour the home office in Riverton Utah, then you will get to see them in person!

You've Got This stamp set and Watercolor Pencils from Stampin' Up! make this card really special for the CEO of our company, Sara Douglass. This card, and several others from the Artisan Design Team are displayed on the Leagacy Room wall that honors Sara at the home office. ~Tanya Boser for the 2017 Artisan Design Team

We were asked to make a card that was in Sara's style. And Sara loves black mixed with some bright colors.

I chose to Gold heat emboss these flowers on a watercolor panel, then I colored them with the Watercolor Pencils, and went over it all with an Aqua-painter.

I also used Clear Wink of Stella over the petals, and Gold heat embossed the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases on vellum. Of course, I stitched around the panel, and attached the vellum with the stitching.

I think this stamp set is perfect of all of the marvelous coloring mediums we have! Pull it out and play!

Stamp Review Crew: Christmas Quilt

Welcome friends! Christmas is almost here, and the Stamp Review Crew is going to feature a Christmas set this year 😁 Christmas Quilt is a cute set that I have not seen many out-of-the-box ideas for. Maybe we can fix that!

For those who are new to the Stamp Review Crew, here is a little background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of inspiration for that set! Christmas Quilt from Stampin' Up! with some watercolor action! ~Tanya Boser for the Stamp Review Crew

I couldn't resist doing some watercolor, and the stitched outline star image was perfectly suited for my watercolor play! White heat embossed images on a watercolor panel, a dilute Smoky Slate background wash, and some bright colors, and bingo-presto! All done! I was careful to wait for adjacent sections to dry before adding a new color.

I used all the same colors, and the small filler images on the inside.
