Have you had a chance to fully absorb the Occasions Mini yet? I mean really look through it, mark all the sets you want, narrow it down to the ones you need, and then narrow it again to the ones you can't live without? And then throw that list out and decide you need it ALL?! I can relate to that 😎
Well, did you notice Everyday Hero? It is a pretty awesome little gem, I'm telling ya. And I used it for a swap recently.
There was a lot of stamping on this one, but it is soooo worth it! And I used the new Watercolor Pencils with Clear Wink of Stella to color the cape. Slick! And sparkly 😊
The Stitched Shapes circle is popped up on dimensionals, the rest is flat. Nice for mailing. And the little Gold Foil stars are punched out with the Confetti Stars punch adn glued on with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
A little more simple stamping on the inside. Now, which Everyday Hero is going to get this card? We will have to wait and see!

February! Yup, that last month of bitter cold (we hope). I think we all could use a little sunshine 😊 Well, the Stamp Review Crew is up for the challenge! We are featuring the lovely Sunshine Sayings stamp set this time. This set has a lot to offer in the sentiment department, with a few lovely images, and there is a beautiful coordinating die set. I think the stamps and the dies work well alone too. Gotta love that!

background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators
that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a
blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of

You may have noticed that I quite like the Kraft cardstock, and this time I decided to glam it up a bit. To make the Kraft word glittery, I liberally applied Clear Wink of Stella to the die cut before attaching it to the card. Here is how I made this card:
Cut a piece of Watercolor paper to 4"x5¼", tape to a board with painter's tape.
Squeeze the lids of Sahara Sand and Crumb Cake inkpads to get ink inside the lids, or place a drop of reinker in the lids.
With an Aqua-painter, or a watercolor brush, apply clean water to the entire panel. Add a wash of Sahara Sand to cover the panel, then apply a wash of Crumb Cake across the center of the panel. Air dry or dry with the heat tool, I used a heat tool.
Sprinkle/splash clean water on the panel, let it sit for a few seconds, then dab up with a clean rag or paper towel. Air dry or dry with a heat tool again.
Die cut the "congrats" from Kraft, and the scribbled heart in Dazzling Diamond Glitter paper. Liberally apply Clear Wink of Stella to the "congrats". Set aside to dry.
Take a piece of vellum at least 3"x 3" square. Then one at a time, stamp the sentiments in Archival Black, Clear heat emboss, then trim off the sentiment in about a ½" strip, repeating for a total of 3 strips, Dovetail the ends.
Lay your pieces on the watercolor panel to get your placement. Ink up the one of the heart images from Tie Dyed in Crumb Cake, and stamp in the center of the panel where it will show through the scribble heart die cut.
Lay all the pieces on the watercolor panel again, stitch the pieces to the watercolor panel as shown above.
Adhere the completed watercolor panel to a Crumb Cake card base with dimensionals.
Stamp the paint swoosh image in stamped off Crumb Cake inside, then add a Crumb Cake Tie Dyed heart, and then the modified sentiment in Archival Black. Yes, I did a little stamp surgery to get the sentiment I wanted. All Done!
I love how shimmery this card is! Paired with the neutrals it is quite dramatic.
I cut the "of wonderful" stamp apart into two words so i could get this sentiment. I will have no problem using the words together again if and when I want to 😊

Welcome to the second 2017 Artisan Design Team blog hop! We are
a global group of demonstrators 20 strong that Stampin’ Up! has chosen to
create special projects just for you for the next year!
This time we are
featuring a variety of the wonderful Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that are

I am the only one that chose this set to feature, cuz I am a rebel 😁
If you are following along in order, you have just arrived
from the glorious Sylwia Schreck’s blog where she showcased Delicate Details. So much to love, right?!
Now, since I am the only on using the Designer Tee set for this hop, I felt obligated to make at least one project with each of the main sentiments/images. So this post is lengthy. And I will not be going into great detail on how they were each made. I will just describe things that may not be immediately evident from just looking at the pictures. You all will let me know if you need more, won't you. 😉
My first project is an encouragement card, and I just had to
play with some watercolor. And the Botanical Builder dies to create this
lovely shaped edge. I also used the Delicate Lace embossing folder. I have had
it for a while now, and I think this may have been the first time I used it!
I am so glad the Stitched Shapes dies are back in stock,
because I love them! Which stands to reason since I do actually stitch on my
cards ALL. THE. TIME… I can’t stop! I popped the Pear Pizzazz panel up on
dimensionals here. To create the watercolor panel, tape the watercolor paper
down to a board with painter’s tape, wet it with clear water. Apply a wash of
Pear Pizzazz, then a few swipes of Sahara Sand. Air dry or dry with heat tool.
Then, without cleaning the Aquapainter, drip some water onto the watercolor and
let it bleed out. Air dry or dry with heat tool.
Inside got some flowers from the Custom Tee set in Pear
Pizzazz, and sentiment in Archival Black ink.
My grandson is obsessed with Thomas the Train, so this stamp
just makes me smile. 😊
And I have done some stamp surgery here. It makes it so much easier to use 2
different colors to stamp this in, and I did some more watercoloring. First a
wet on wet wash of Crumb Cake, then some swipes of Smoky Slate. Dried with heat
tool. Then embossed with the Brick Wall embossing folder and stitched around
the panel.
Can you see the Brick wall embossing on the vellum here? I
wanted to add a little texture to the vellum mat, and I like how the Brick Wall
looks. The train is stamped in Archival Basic Gray, and the word bubble is
stamped in Crumb Cake.
And a whole train of engines along the top with the
sentiment in Archival Basic Gray. And I totally meant to stamp the middle train
lower than the others😉
How about an ensemble of birthday stuff? There is a video
coming soon for the little treat bag. I have to wait though, because I show
something for the next Artisan Design Team blog hop. Oops! So check that out in

You can never have too much cake, right? But I am not sure I
want gray cake… maybe I should have thought about that color combo…. I did cut the cake and the sentiments apart on this stamp. I can fit them back together the way they came if I want to, but I find myself using them more if they are cut apart.
I actually used the T-Shirt Builder framelits with this
project! And the bag is made with the Gift Bag punch board. Quick and easy!

I always have a stash of Kraft and White gift bags, so it is
awesome to have some gift tags ready to go to tie on the handle. It is so cool
to give a gift with a coordinating card. I think it looks to thoughtful. 😇
This one was inspired by a photo of a lace and burlap dream catcher. So beautiful!
I sponged a 4"x5¼" panel of Thick Whisper White with Crumb cake at the top and Sahara Sand in the middle, leaving the bottom portion white.
Then I took a 5¼" x about 3" piece of Vellum, die cut one long edge with the Detailed Floral thinlit.
Then the vellum was embossed with the Lovely Lace embossing folder.
One of the Lace Doilies was cut in half, and the vellum and the doily were stitched to the sponged white panel.
The sentiment was Copper heat embossed on a Sahara Sand Stitched Shapes die cut. And popped up on dimensionals.
I adore all the texture on this card!! It looks so soft and delicate.
On the inside, I laid a doily one the corners and used it as a mask to sponge on some Sahara Sand. And the sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede.
And the woman that uses far too many smiley faces could not resist filling a panel with smiley face confetti! 😀😄😇😏😁😍😊😉
I used every one of the current yellows: Delightful Dijon, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, and So Saffron. And I once again cut the stamp apart to separate the image and the sentiment. Don't be afraid! It is quite liberating to free the different elements, I promise 😎
The inside of this one is a little boring. But hey! I had a busy day! I made all of these in one session. I was on a mission, I tell you 😊
