Stamp Review Crew: Jingle All the Way Edition

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2015/12/stamp-review-crew-jingle-all-way-edition.html
It is the first Monday in December, so you know what that means. Another episode of the Stamp Review Crew! And this time we are featuring a fun set called Jingle All the Way. What makes this set so special is the amazing set of Edgelits that coordinate with it. At least in my opinion :)

If this is your first time hopping with us, then I should tell you that we are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together every first and third Monday of the month to feature a single stamp set. We share lots of ideas for that set to get you excited and inspired :) You can check out the master blog roll on our home blog, and find all of our past hops, and all of the links will take you directly to the posts you are looking for!

If you are following along in order, then you just arrived from Nikki Spencer's blog. Fantastic, right?!

So, this card came to me as I waking up one morning this week. I love it when that happens! The epiphany was that the trees in this DSP from Home for the Holidays is the perfect scale for the Sleigh Ride dies! Some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper and some vellum, and look at these gorgeous layers! I admit that this card is actually sitting on my kitchen table so I can keep looking at it :)
I did curve the sentiment to fit the oval edge, which is really easy with the clear mount version. I just laid it under the oval on the clear block and adjusted the curve until it matched. It is embossed with Pewter embossing powder. I thought I grabbed the Silver, but I was wrong. I really love the Pewter though, so its all good :)

Inside I stamped some snow and a little snowman. I did not really have time to find a good sentiment for the inside yet, but I will get there.

That's all I have for you, now it's time to go see what Rochelle Blok has created, I am certain it will be amazing!

This is so pretty, Tanya. Love the layers and you're so right, the DSP is perfect for the sleigh ride. I also think the little snowman on the inside is adorable!

Lots like Currier and Ives! Super idea to use the DSP. And thanks for the reminder that we can curve the clear mounts--I haven't used that trick in long time.

Such a lovely scene Tanya. The addition of the stitching is great and the dsp makes a perfect backdrop. Xx
