Who likes cake? Me! And who likes pie? Me again!! (I prefer pie to be honest, it's all the fruit) And how about cute little slice boxes?! Oh, yes please. We are featuring the
Sweet Stack stamp set, and it coordinates with the aptly named
Cutie Pie box framelits. I can't wait to see all the goodies the Crew comes up with this time!
For those who are new to the Stamp Review Crew, here is a little
background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators
that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a
blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of

Time to see what I have done with this set :)
OK, you knew I was going to do something watercolor with this, right? I used a panel of watercolor paper, embossed the image in Gold embossing powder, then used an Aquapainter to color each triangle. Then I dry embossed the bottom of it. Stitched around the edges (cuz it wouldn't be me if I didn't!), and popped it up on dimensionals on a Thick Whisper White card base, Easy Peasy!
Can you see the dry embossing better now? For the watercoloring, I did lay down some water in each trianle first, then dropped color into the tips and worked out to get the gradient effect. And I got a little outside the lines, but I am not gonna sweat it! It's hand-made, right?!
Inside has a sentiment from
Happy Happenings, and then stamped off the colors from the front with the streamers image. I think this turned out good enough to be a card FRONT!
Here is a little slice of cake with some sprinkles on top! The sequins are from the June Paper Pumpkin. There were a
ton of sequins in that kit! I used some cello bag material to create the sandwiched window for the sequins, and I did not even cut it out special. I glued it down to cardstock with Fast Fuse, trimmed of the extra, added more Fast Fuse, put a few sequins down, then added another layer of cello material down and trimmed it off. The sequins even shake around a little in the sandwich!

Such a pretty watercolor card, and I love the name. Perfect fit. Cute little cake box too. I almost used those same sequins on my project. Great job!
Such happy projects...the rainbow watercoloring is totally cool and love the unique way you made the shaker for the sequins!
