Stamp Review Crew: Wood Words

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2017/08/window-shopping.html
Welcome back, friends! We are featuring the one stamp set in the Annual Catalog that I knew had to come to my home immediately: Wood Words! I adore the country rustic feel of this set. And the coordinating dies only make it better. 😍

For those who are new to the Stamp Review Crew, here is a little background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of inspiration for that set! The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog, and you will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want! And you can click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also.

If you are following along in order, you just arrived from Michelle Roberts' blog. I am certain that she has come up with a bunch of goodies for us!

I have a few projects to share today. And I created all of them Sunday! Yes, Last-Minute-Lucy should be my name 😉

But first, a little story!

We had 2 trees fall down over our driveway this week. One was a very large spruce tree. Well, perfect timing, I say! We cut off the top 15 feet or so and we have a fresh Christmas tree. Then, we cut up the rest for firewood. We have a wood stove as our heat source. Yeah for warmth! Part of cutting the tree up for firewood was limbing the tree. Which left me with loads of material to make evergreen wreaths! SO, I learned a new skill. And I gave wreaths to several family members! I still have limbs left, and after I finish this post, I will be making more wreaths 😎 The picture above is of the wreath I made for my mom. I took her to the Dollar Tree to pick out decorations for the wreath, then I hung it up outside her front door! (The pine cones are from my yard).

So, with all those wreaths on the brain, I had to make a wreath for the hop! This uses a bunch of dies. I know, not everyone has all of these! But I do, and dang it, I am going to use them when inspiration strikes! 😏

Swirly Scribbles, Pretty Pines, and Wood Crate die sets were used to create that little wreath. Pine Planks embossing folder was thrown in there, and I used the Scallop Tag Topper and Triple Banner punches to create the tag.

Next up, a completely different feel! This one has an aquatic and masculine tone. The stitching around the circle adds to the feeling of a porthole.

Inside, just a few stamped-off stars in the same colors used to sponge the front: Dapper Denim, Bermuda Bay, and Pool Party.

Wood Words and the Envelope Punch Board from Stampin' Up! create these large treat packets. They will hold a 3" cookie, candy, treats of all kinds.~Tanya Boser for the Stamp Review Crew
Last up, these sweet treat packs! They start as a 6" square! So easy, and so fun! They will hold a large cookie, or 2+ other wrapped goodies.

And now, Holly Krautkremer! I can't wait to see what layering genius move she has come up with this time 😊

Last-minute-Lucy or Power-crafter-Polly??? Amazing what you can crank in a day Tanya. Love all of them, especially the male port hole card. I love that as you are stoking your fire I am cranking the air con here in Australia!

Very impressed with your wreath-making skills! Lucky you (I guess) to have all that material to work with! And so I adore the little wreath tag. It's just perfect

Such fun and different projects, Tanya! We took down a pine tree about 1 week ago, and the top became a little tabletop tree. :) It was kinda prickly, so I didn't entertain the thought of making wreaths.
