So Kindred Stamps does these wonderful takes on lots of different pop culture things, and these Video Game Brothers are so fun! I remember my husband and his best friend playing this game for hours when we were first married! I can still hear the music, lol.
And kids today know these games, so this is the perfect set to create cards and treats for all ages.
My oldest grandchild turned 15 last week, so I had to make something he would appreciate. He Loved the Red Fellow!
I pulled out some retired supplies from my stash, and they worked perfectly! The star and the banner were sponged with Crushed Curry and Blueberry Bushel inks, then diecut with the Mini Treat Bag dies, which is also what I used to create this envelope/bag.
Then we have the Green Fellow. Equally fun and will be appreciated by another video game lover in the future!
Then there is this squatty little Mushroomhead Fellow. I found some paper that kind of looks like mushroom caps! You finally get to see the card insert here, with the Pipe Flowers. They were colored with Copics, then cut out and glued to the card.
Last, we have this sweet princess! There are lots of birthday princesses that would love to get her!

Hello friends! Shall we play with some sassy old ladies, and try out a new action card? I think we shall! Stay Golden from Kindred Stamps seems to go perfectly with the Tropical Escape Suite from Stampin' Up! I mean, it is like they were made for each other!!
I did make a video showing how to make this card, and it also shows 2 other cards made with the same suite of products.
Measurements for slider components:
Pocket Pieces: cut two at 3¾" x 4½" (9.5 cm x 11.4 cm), score the 3¾" (9.5 cm) edge at 3½" (9 cm) Inside Slider Base: cut one at 3-3/8" x 4¼" (8.5 cm x 10.8 cm), create notches in the 3-3/8" (8.5 cm) end, 3/8" in and from each side. Slider Strip: one at 2¼" (5.7 cm) x at least 10" (25.5 cm) long Slider Panels: two at 2¾" x 4" (7 cm x 10.2 cm)
The sentiment on the front is stamped on a piece of white card stock sponged with Granny Apple Green ink, then spattered with water. A Stitched oval vellum piece is behind the sentiment to add a little more fancy.
The sentiment on the inside is just perfect!! Audra from Kindred Stamps did a marvelous job with this set!
The leaves on the sides are stamped in Soft Stone ink from Papertrey Ink on the Soft Stone card stock.
The mother daughter duo is on the left hand panel. They were colored with Copics. Here is the list of what I used:

Sister on the left:
Hair: W1, E50, E70 (kind of a weird combo. On the other two cards I used the same as the mom/daughter)
Dress/shoes: G21, G85
Sister on the right:

Dress/shoes: R02, R05
Skin for both: E00, E30, R20
And there it is, all put together! I think I have found another favorite interactive card technique. And that there will be quite a few sassy old ladies in my stash of cards.

I did a grid of sponged Gray Granite here, just using the edge of some scrap paper. Then I filled the grid with little beach cabanas or cabins.
The sentiment is Copper heat embossed on vellum, and stitched it onto the panel.
We love coffee mugs here, and tend to get one from wherever we go. I just had to make a tropical one. The backgroun was sponged in Mango Melody and Poppy Parade, spritzed with water, and heat set.
The doily behind the cup is vellum cut with and Eastern Medallion dies. The Coffee Cup dies helped create the cup shape so quickly!

Oh my gosh! It is Kindred Stamps release time!! And it is such a great one!! I get to feature a stamp set that is all about the a certain ghastly ghost in striped pants. Don't say his name! You may end up singing about Mr. Tally Man!
My first project is a treat box that I sponged and stamped to make it look like there was a ghost rising out of the mist.
I did this on all four sides, with the ghost rising higher on each panel.
Then I colored the image with some Copics, cut him out, and popped him on the box. A few dabs of Morning Dew Nuvo drops added just the right touch.
When I first got this set, I stamped out a bunch of images and started coloring them from memory. I initially thought the girl was the green skinned receptionist in the movie. So that is where this color scheme came from. I still really like her.
The Tufted embossing folder and clear on black embossed stripes are supposed to give this a theatrical feel. And I could not resist the Red Berry Nuvo drops, they matched perfectly!
Quick tip: if your ink pad is a little too juicy, and you start to lose some of the details in the image (like the teeth on mister striped pants), use a sponge to dab off some of the excess ink before you stamp it down. Worked wonders from me!
Last up is this fun card! I wanted something that would appeal to the goth child that my daughter is, but is not really a Halloween card. I dug out a retired embossing folder for the web.
My Copic coloring on this little lady is much better on this card, don't you think? Practice does really help 😉

I made a couple of simple projects this time. Here I randomly stamped four of the vases on Thick Whisper White. Truly, this was very random!
The sentiment is white heat embossed on Mango Melody cardstock, and cut out with a die from Petals and More.
Then I used a Curvy Keepsake box and a tag die from my stash to create this treat package.
The vase is stamped off once. That Night of Navy inkpad must be really juicy!

Hello Kindred friends! This is Tanya, back with a couple of cards featuring the adorable Loch Ness Monster stamp set. I just love that little aquatic creature!
There is a bit of blending with Petal Pink and Highland Heather ink
here. Water spatters help this pinky purple blend look more like water.
The Comic Dots stencil added some bubbles too!
This sentiment is from Catcher of Beasts. I think it is perfect!
Some Copic coloring on Nessie, and he is popped up on a mini action
wobbler. A few Morning Dew Nuvo drops add just the right touch. But
don't put your thumb in them before they dry.... just sayin'.
More sponging and stenciling inside, and I used a sentiment from the Loch Ness Monster set here.
I still had more of the little monsters precolored and cut, so I did
one in blues and greens. This time I used the stencil at a diagonal and
added some white shimmer paint.
The shimmer is awesome in real life, but a bit difficult to catch on camera. You are just going to have to trust me there :)
The sentiment on this one is from the Bigfoot set.
The stippling technique with Copic markers worked really well to give Nessie a bit of a dappled effect.

This adorable little monster just had to come out and play! Isn't he fun?! This is a tiny, but awesome, set from Kindred Stamps.
The background is sponged in Pool Party, Blueberry Bushel, and Call Me Clover on Thick Whisper White, then spattered with a little water. I did use my heat tool to dry it.
The white panel is embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder and cut with the Papertrey Ink Round Off Edgers wavy die.
I had just gotten a pile of Copic markers. Yes, I am making the commitment. 😏 Do you love the stippling on Nessie?
You can see the texture a little better here. There are dies from Spellbinders (the leafy stuff) and Hero Arts My Monthly Hero (the banner). I did fussy cut the monster. I think I am learning to enjoy fussy cutting. What?!
