Stamp Review Crew: Playful Pals Edition

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2017/01/playful-pals.html
I don't know about you, but I was skeptical about this set. I was not sure I needed another builder set for animals. But there have been some really cute projects made with it, and I am warming up to it!

For those who are new to the Stamp Review Crew, here is a little background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of inspiration for that set! The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog, and you will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want! And you can click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also.

If you are following along in order, you arrived from the fabulous Dawn Tidd's blog! I am sure she had plenty of Wow! going on there 😀

I will admit, this stamp set was hard for me to use initially. I looked at it and drew a complete creative blank for a long time. Then I decided to try create a little Bokeh effect with some of the oval-type shapes and Crushed Curry Daffodil Delight. I really just wanted to play with the new embossing folders, 😁 What do you think? I hope you like it!

Inside, I just used the smaller oval-ish shape in Crushed Curry, stamping several times without reinking. The Softly Falling embossing folder never gets old, and the sentiment comes from Crazy About You.

Next, I created a little face. I love this face because it immediately made me think of the PBS Kids show, Arthur. And Arthur reminded me of my oldest son when he was young. I am so glad my kids enjoyed this show. And now I feel old, because it is an old show now...

Look at that sweet face peeking out at you!! The sentiment for this one came from Sprinkles of Life.

That is it for me, time to move on to Charlene Harreveld's blog, where I am sure the zoo will continue to grow!

I love that out-of-the-box bokeh effect you used, Tanya! Those bold images are awesome. That little "Arthur" is perfect. My kinds never watched him but my grandchildren do!
