Artisan Display Stamper Blog Hop: Day 3

Day 3 is here! Are you finding tons of inspiration yet? I know I am, and I was at Onstage, lol! I bet you can't wait to get all of the stuff we have shown you, right?! 😁

Here is a sweet little set of projects using the fabulous and vibrant Lemon Lime Twist! There is a new Specialty Designer Series Paper pack with metallic foils that is sooo fun to play with too. I think there will be a lot of beautiful gift packaging done with it as it is on Kraft paper.

Look at that shiny Lemon Lime Twist foil!! This was just a simple Curvy Keepsakes box with a tag from the same die set. I stamped sweet little birthday cake and the party sentiment, and voila! It was done! Pink and green go together so well, don't you think?

So let's take it a step further and do a watercolor wash background with Powder Pink and Lemon Lime Twist. I tried the wash with a heat tool, the spattered the panel with water, let it sit for a few seconds, then dabbed it off.
And did you notice the impression in the paper and wonder where that is from? It is one of the dies from the Eastern Palace suite. I ran it through the Big shot with the embossing sandwich and used a silicone embossing mat. I have had it for ages, and you probably have one in your stash. If not, you can use a sheet of fun foam. You just need something that will squish a bit without allowing the die to cut through the paper. It took me longer to explain how I did it than to do it, of course 😄

I made a video of the making of this card.

Do you like the die cut Happy Birthday? It is such a great font and such a great size! It is all one piece, but I cut it apart for this card. It is cut out of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, then I covered it with Clear Wink of Stella. So shimmery in real life. The cake outline is stamped in Fresh Fig. The new In-Colors are fantastic!!

OK, that is it for me today and I am the last stop on this hop. If you started somewhere in the middle, be sure to keep hopping. You don't want to miss any of the fun 😉

Great way to use that die cut. I tend to not venture into too many techniques so it's a great reminder to use them. Thank you for the inspiration.

Anne, you can find the hard board I use at any home improvement store. Ask for 1/4" MDF plywood, and most of them will even cut it down for you. You can also use a wood cutting board.
And I am so glad you found me too :)

Love, love, love. I'm loving all of your watercolor techniques so much--and your videos. So glad you showed how to do the embossing. One more technique to use with these beautiful new dies!
