Stamp Review Crew: Thoughtful Banners Edition

http://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2017/05/thoughtful-banners.html
Happy Mother's Day to those in the US! I hope you were showered with love and affection 😊 Thoughtfulness seems to be a perfect theme for this post, and Thoughtful Banners fits the bill. I personally can't wait to see what the Crew comes up with!

For those who are new to the Stamp Review Crew, here is a little background. We are an international group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators that gets together on the first and third Mondays of every month to do a blog hop. Each hop features a single stamp set to give you loads of inspiration for that set! The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog, and you will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want! And you can click on the banner of this post to go to the master blog roll for this hop also.

If you are hopping along in order, you have just arrived from the fabulous Valerie Moody's blog. She makes Clean and Simple look so easy!

I went pretty simple this time, because honestly, I waited too long to create something, and I was working all weekend. So this was created Saturday night after finishing a very busy 12 hour shift in the ER. I live in a tourist area, with dozens of lakes in the area. And it is Fishing Opener here.... it is always the same weekend as Mother's Day here 😜 ANYwho!
I fell back on my favorite things:
  1. Texture
  2. Watercolor
  3. Stitching
  4. Vellum
  5. and my current favorite color combo, Lemon Lime Twist with Emerald Envy

Can you see the dimension of the texture better here?

And yes, I tacked the balloons down with some stitching too😁

That's it. I know. I am slacking!! I will do better next time 😏

If you are following along in order, you arrived from the fabulous Sue Plote's blog! Love her stuff!!

I love everything about this Tanya - it's definitely your signature style! Must remember to stitch on embossed cardstock - it looks awesome! Kelly x

So much awesomeness in this card, Tanya! I'm inferring from your careful statement that the fishing opener can increase the ER traffic?? BTW, I thought fishing was a year-round thing in Minnesota. I have actually seen the inside of an ice fishing shack while it was sitting on top of the frozen lake.

Really pretty, Tanya. Love the water coloring and color combo. I'll have to give that a try! The hexagon background looks great too!
