Happy Celebrations: Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Welcome to another Artisan Design Team blog hop! This time the team is featuring two different stamps sets, with some of us using Cool Treats, and some of us using Happy Celebrations. Both of these suites are quite wonderful, and I have enjoyed playing with them both. But this time I am using Happy Celebrations 😁

If you are following along in order, you just arrived from the delightful Sylwia Schreck's blog. Lovely, right?!

I have created three projects for this hop, and the first project is full of happy! The "happy" panels on these cards were watercolored in two different ways. The one on the left was watercolored with an Aqua-painter. The one on the right was sponged and then spritzed with water. I may have gotten a little carried away with the dimensionals on the card on the right also....

Here is a video showing how I made this card.

This card has one layer of dimensionals. It will mail nicely without extra postage. The Aqua-painter created smooth and vibrant color.

This on has 2 layers of domensionals. Definitely more pop! And the colors are more intense with more texture.

The sentiment on the inside is from Glamper Greetings. I am sooo excited that it is carrying over into the Annual Catalog! Love it!! 💓

My next project uses a watercolor wash of Pool Party with some clear water and Pool party spatters. Then Gold heat embossing the "Celebrate", and Archival Black stamping the rest of the sentiment. And stitching, of course. 😊

I adore the fonts in this set!! And see how well they stamped on watercolor paper? No, I do not have a MISTI, this is one impression of each image with no touch ups. 😍😎

That swoosh is so handy to add a quick touch. Yup, gonna use that a lot. Just sayin'.

My last project does a little ombre effect using Tranquil Tide and Pool Party using one of the smaller swoosh images from the set. I did a full strength row, and a stamped off row of each color, getting a lighter gradation up the card. So I would stamp once, then stamp right above it, overlapping a bit, before inking the stamp up again.

And you can see that I used Copper embossing powder for the happy. I did not use Copper Foil paper for the mat though. I inked about ½" around a mat of Thick Whisper White with Versamark, then Copper heat embossed that also. I like the way it matches the happy. (And I may be hoarding the copper foil....)

The inside got the ombre effect, on its side. I was just playing around. I like it. Do you?
This card ended up being for a coworker of mine who is retiring. He is retiring early, and in good health. And he planned it that way!! I am a bit envious, and very happy for him! He says he has no idea what he and his wife are going to do, but they are going to enjoy whatever it is they will be doing. 😉 When I grow up, I wanna be like him!

That's the collection from me! I hope you enjoyed them. Come back again soon for more fun and games, and videos!

If you are following along in order, I am the last stop on the hop. If you started somewhere in teh middle, be sure to keep going! Allison Okamitsu is the next stop, and you do not want to miss her creations, I promise 😍

Oh Tanya! Your cards always WOW me. They have such a free spirit to them. I am such a perfectionist that I could never do cards like these and I am truly awed by yours!

Wow! I love how you made very different cards with the same set! My favorite is the bright colorful happy birthday card! You are starting to get me interested in sewing on my cards. Haven't tried that yet but I am getting braver! Lol! I love the copper embossing as well. It makes the card feel so fancy and special. Your friend will love it!
