Pink Birthday Truck

Wouldn't you just love to see a pretty pink truck driving down the road?! I think it would draw a lot of attention :-) This card was supposed to go it yesterday's box, but it went to a co-worker for her birthday instead. I hope she likes it! And I bet it is the first time she has gotten a card with a truck on it, lol!

This was the first truck I colored and I did not mean for the apples to bleed off of the image, but my co-workers all assured me that it looked fine :-) This was an evolve-as-you-go card. I added the Waffle paper, didn't like it yet, then I added the Waffle paper bow. Still not right. Then I added the flowers with the pearls in the center, and that was the ticket! Add the white gel pen outline, which I can't seem to stop lately, and the front was done!
  • Stamps: Countryside
  • Paper: Regal Rose, Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso Waffle paper,Water color paper, Very Vanilla
  • Ink: Riding Hood Red, Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Jet Black Stazon, Crumb Cake
  • Other: Aqua-painter, Signo white gel pen, Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack, Pearls Basic Jewels, Eyelet border punch
Inside I stamped the truck in Pretty in Pink. I like how subtle it is! When I had everybody sign the card for the birthday girl, nobody wanted to sign over the truck, how sweet of them don't you think? And I had to spice it up a little with the Waffle paper and the little flowers in the upper corner. Next time I take a card to work for a birthday and have people sign it, I think I better make sure I have an insert handy. we ended up signing on the whole inside and onto the back of the card!

How cool. I seriously do not think my brain would have stretched enough to consider using this truck with pink - an it looks awesome. Thanks for thinking out of the "box" and sharing it here.
